This place is amazing. I tried the bambo duck and the pork fried spring rolls. Bathrooms are clean. I went to my another nice looking thai food but it doenst compare. Please come to this place you won't regret it.

Don't let the name fool you: in addition to delicious banh mi, this place also has some fantastic Vietnamese entrees. If you've tried the other places in town and the soups aren't quite doing it for you, stop here for a different spin.

I had a combination sandwich for $3.28. It was an incredible value for the food portion and of good quality. Top it off with good service and this is the mom and pop shop to eat at

The best Pho I've ever tasted. Small but very clean. Good Vietnamese food.

Excellent banh mi, though not on baguettes. Solid pho and beef stew is good, but a little tough. Cans of soda.

#12 Rice noodle soup w/ seafood is one of the best items on the menu. Very close to GCU too.

Small hole in the wall Vietnamese Restaurant with wait service. My husband tried a Pork Bun Dish and I tried the Red Rice Chicken. The Chicken was tasty, crisp and fried nicely. The red was ok but didn't have much flavor. The Floor was very dirty and the air conditioning only works on the half of the restaurant were the owners were sitting.

We went in for delicious banh mi sandwiches. Three of us ordered 3 different sandwiches, but none of us got what we ordered. <br/>The bathrooms looked like they had never been cleaned.

I live in the apartments behind it and I have to pass by the back door everyday and I always see cigarette smoke billowing out from there. I've even seen pots being stirred while cigarettes are in the cooks hands

Had high hopes, but not for me.. I live within a block away, so I finally decided to stop by for take out during lunch (1pm). I ordered the #2 sandwich, the spring rolls and blended cafe mocha boba. First, I ordered a #2 sandwich combo and the attendant rang me up and charged me for two sandwiches. My bill came to $15 which at the moment seemed expensive but in hindsight it makes sense since she rang up two orders. The attendant had a hard accent and communication was on the difficult side. The sandwich was very bland and dry. I chose it because it had all their "best meats". I ate it with chili paste to give it some kind of flavor. The bread was super crusty. The three spring rolls were warm and plastic wrapped together. Upon opening the plastic wrap I noticed that they were all stuck together. They rice paper completely tore when attempting to pull them apart. They were also mostly stuffed with romaine lettuce and mint leaves. I love mint, but it was too overpowering. I ended up picking out most of the lettuce and mint leaves. The boba was ok, but I like my boba pearls on the firm side. These were really soggy. The drink was also very sweet. I had high hopes for this place and I will not go back. I ended up throwing away most of my meal. For the record, I am not a picky eater at all, but this place was definitely not for me....too bad. =(

Thao Art Fabulous!. Wow! What surprise! I thought, gee I have a long lunch break today with this hole in my schedule - let's find something new. So, I cruise down 27th ave as I watch my Garmin clicking eatery suggestions by me - and lo an behold, not on the Garmin, a Food City strip mall beckons me enter just above Bethany home - and there I spy Thao Sandwiches Oriental Food - what a great name. And I can't even get a seat. It's packed, and keeping with the politikal incorrectness of it's name, with orientals. So, I had my fried eggrolls and 'special' sandwich to go. The eggrolls were perfect, stuffed with just the right amount of meat to other stuff ratio and fried to a golden brown in the proper temp oil so as not to be too greasy, but just greasy enough, served with a box of greens to wrap them in and that delectable sweet fishy sauce of theirs. The sandwich was indeed special, with three kinds of meat, pork, chicken (I think) and the obligatory mystery meat (snouts and ears head cheesy kinda thing - I love that stuff) and the pickled diakon and carrots etc. Dip that in the sweet fishy sauce too if you have enough. Served on the crispy french roll. Ah heaven. I'm going to make this a regular lunch place on my list for sure. The menu has plenty to try to keep me surprised for some time. I rate this 5 BRRAAAPs!
