I was recently visiting friends in Phoenix and stopped by Filiberto's on my last day in town. I only ordered a junior Adobada Burrito since I wasn't super hungry, but I was really pleased with my selection. The pork was a bit greasy, but this was a perfect match for the other ingredients. The cabbage in particular was a nice addition since it gave the burrito a fresh crisp/crunch. The tortilla was nicely browned and didn't get soggy from the pork, though it didn't have much time since I ate it rather quickly. My biggest disappointment was that the restaurant was only a few blocks from my friends' house and I went only once. :)
So we love filibertos but this place is extremely filthy. Sorry but have to be honest. My wife and i were wondering why more people didn't eat inside but after being there for five minutes waiting for food we wondered no more. The people are always very nice bit the overall cleanliness has eroded over time.
Took some of the camp kids there for lunch to let them try the Monday special, rolled Tacos w/melted cheese. They all enjoyed them as much as I did!
Pretty good Mexican food. This particular location was not totally packed with people. The food was just as amazing as the other locations.
I'm currently in love with their shredded beef tacos.
Always a smile from the staff. Love the food!
Had the huevos ranchers and it was really good.
Really friendly staff. Food was fresh and was made fairly quickly.
Best priced and tasty tacos in the area! My taco tuesdays place to get my tacos and tostadas
Best take-out in the foothills. You can actually get a high protein low carb healthy meal. I either go with the chicken plate, all beans or the carne asada one.
Not to say, there carne asada buritto isn’t amazing, but so is the huge flour tortilla it’s wrapped in, and much too tempting.
Yes-they had some good competition across the street for awhile, but with the Name/ownership change over there, I haven’t had a quality meal there in months.
The service at Filibertos is always fast and pleasant, maybe not as fast as Mikki D’Souza-but your getting a higher quality of drive through…
And, with huge portions-I always save my extra meat & salsa to add to eggs in the morning for a low carb frittata ( that’s a quiche without a crust, just pour your scrambled eggs and meat/veggies in your pan and throw it in the oven to feed your family of four ( I use eight eggs) in the morning.
YES, the foothills needs another drive thru option, but I doubt we will be getting any healthy options soon. ( I am a fan of the
The lady working behind the counter has been so freaking nice to me all the time. And the food is one of a kind. Just one of my favorite places to eat!
