Great food with a very friendly staff. The back patio is a hidden gem!
Can't wait for this place to open for dinners! We've had nothing but good food and good experiences eating breakfast and lunch in this (our favorite neighborhood restaurant) almost weekly for several years now. The staff and especially the owners and their son go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. And they've never failed to honor our "special requests."
Great prices! Private patio, beautiful this time of year if you want a Sunday brunch without no ling waits. Also, open late Friday and Saturday which is huge for the Melrose area! Food was 10/10!! The owner is awesome
It’s our first time back in a couple years. New ownership as of May 2023. It is a must try if you have never been (or it’s been a while). The new menu is very well curated. You can tell that the chef loves food. I tried the pork belly blt it changed my life! The service and vibe was great as well!
Good food overall. Did feel like the service was a little slow but nothing too bad they just seemed distracted. Very decent breakfast place with pretty tasty food. The pancakes alone are worth coming back for.
Went here today and it was so great! The food and drinks were tasty and fresh. Had the curve scramble and added mushrooms. For drinks, we had the cold brew and had a coke float and it did not disappoint! Harmon, the owner was so genuine! Definitely recommend to everyone! The atmosphere was super awesome with local artwork and live music in the back patio. Will be back!
We went here about a month ago and we loved the menu! Our food was outstanding. We had the chicken and waffles and the caprese salad with pork belly and it was delicious. We are definitely planning on going back soon. Service was a little slow but kind and knowledgeable. I believe there was only one server that morning and we weren’t in any rush so we were happy. I’m sure as more folks start figuring out how good this place is they’ll start bringing on more staff.
During a recent trip to Phoenix visiting our daughter my husband and I went to a restaurant called Melrose Kitchen on three (3) separate occasions. Twice for breakfast and again for a late night meal after leaving one of the area's entertainment spots. The food was amazing! Everything came to the table piping hot. The pancakes are to die for. My omelet was incredible and the chicken in waffle was so so good. That's right I didn't make a mistake it's not a chicken and waffle it's chicken in a waffle. You must try it for yourself! I can't say enough about this restaurant. The new owner Harmon Swartz and his staff were extremely friendly, and very professional. The owner shared with us that he would be opening the patio in a few weeks. The patio will add another dimension to this hidden gem. When you are in the area stop by Melrose Kitchen you won't be disappointed.
Ive been coming here for 7 years and I can confidently say as 2023 comes to a close that Melrose Kitchen is better than EVER. Food, service, and atmosphere have been elevated - and the coffee! They leave an insulated pot of locally roasted and freshly brewed coffee right your table. If you haven't given the new MK a try, you are missing out. Get in here now!
What a hidden gem. Located in the Melrose District, this restaurant is small, quaint, quiet and clean. Great customer service and the prices are very reasonable. You seat yourself and there was not a wait. I had a Melrose cheeseburger with fries. The bun was so soft, the beef patty was juicy and the fries were handcut and cooked perfectly. That was the best burger that I've had in a while.
New owner and they are so much better than the last one. Wait staff understands my wheat allergy and the cook was very careful not to have cross contamination. I had the sausage and peppers. Very tasty dish.
I love the new Melrose Kitchen!
Great service, great food!
I loved the R&B music being played. The only thing keeping my wife and I from going more often is that we wake up early and generally go to breakfast around 7, which is before Melrose Kitchen opens. But when we get up late, this will be our go to.
