We ate here the first night in Phenoix, Arizona. This is a great causal (but could definitely dress up as well). The atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was delicious as well. I must admit I was a little concerned that when our food came out, it didn’t look exactly like I am used to. However, the flavor was just as I anticipated. Lastly, the pricing is really great, and the portions are larger. If you are an Indian food fan, I highly recommend checking them out.

As I sit here eating my still-delectable leftovers from last night, I am called to stop what I’m doing. I must share with you just how high my opinion of this place is.
Despite being short-staffed, our waitress was extremely pleasant and playful, and the food is quite possibly the best Indian-style I’ve had in all of Phoenix, truly.
The only thing that could have made our experience better is if the TV wasn’t playing garden-variety, “if it bleeds it leads” cable news.
I will return to Hilal Grill and hope to receive the same incredible food and friendly service again & again. Thanks for being here!

Very nice halal place to have various delicious items. Place has been very decent with melodious music playing and the staff has been very supportive. Tried lamb kabab and it was good, the style of food is different as it’s from afghan and Pakistan. Truly enjoyed the food here,

Food was tasty but some of the Indian dish were definitely not what I’d expect taste wise. This restaurant’s flavors are definitely a fusion of their own. I’d order takeout from here.

Was recommended this place by someone else. Food was good, not too heavy on the spices which I appreciated. Serving size was substantial for the malai boti, would prefer a larger serving size for 2 people for the chicken karahi.

Went to Hilal Grill's new barbecue experience on Friday, and it was amazing! The meat was grilled to order over a coal fire and served with fresh homemade bread. They also have a delicious chicken karahi served hot in the karahi bowl (see photo) - so good!!
The owners are always friendly and make everyone feel welcome. The ambiance is great, with outdoor seating on traditional cots, music, and patio lighting. The best part is that a lot of people from the community come out with their families to enjoy the evening together.
Overall, the Friiday BBQ is a very special and unique event. So grateful that it's right here in Phoenix.

They catered a couple hundred people event that I attended. The food was fantastic but that's not the reason I'm rating. Less than an hour before dinner service when the attending staff was highly busy, three staff members rallied around my kids who were having a hunger-meltdown. They went out of their way to make plates for the kids, and did so with a smile. That gesture goes farther than the incredible food they served.
