Tru Burger Co.

My GF and I went here for lunch today. It's next to Hungry Howies at West Virginia and Central. There was no wait and it was relatively empty. I was told I could sit wherever was comfortable. Choose a booth in the back (which is actually towards the street as the front is towards the parking behind the building). We ordered chips and salsa to start, and a jalapeño burger and Buffalo chicken sandwich and garlic parm fries. Everything is Ala carte. The salsa was ok, it was a little too salty, but not overly spicy. The chips were good. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was good, not great. The buffalo sauce was fine, the chicken was juicy and the veggies were fresh. There just wasn't much flavor in the chicken. The burger was the same, good not great. Service was good. Quick and food came out quickly, which is great at lunch. I'd definitely come back but for $55 (including tip) for lunch burgers for 2 people, there are definitely better places.

We came in for a late lunch on a weekday afternoon. The menu was great, had lots of salad and burger choices, plus a decent beer list. Food was very good, portions were great. We really enjoyed the pickle spears. There were only a couple other people in the restaurant, and yet it took almost 40 minutes to get our food. Not sure what the hold up was, otherwise a good experience.

Perfect for us, if you are in to dine and dash, this is not the place, don't even bother. If you are into a relaxed causal atmosphere and caring staff., come in and enjoy. The parking lot clean, the store clean, well presented, TV'S not blaring. Staff is very people and service oriented. The food is prepared Exactly as requested, and very tasty. The burgers are hand crafted to stay together, an art unto it self. The staff pleasantly checks on you and your needs. Restrooms cleaned and maintained. We will return.

My first experience was great, only because of AMY! she was amazing. She was taking care of the entire restaurant like a rock star. Now my second experience was the complete opposite and I'm not going to give a bad review due to it. The bartender look like she was barely 21 and spent every spare second on her phone. I had to ask to place my order I had to ask for a drink. And when she should have been asking if I wanted another one I believe it was a manager who stepped out of the back and looked at my drink empty and asked if I wanted another one. She probably said three words the entire time I was there which was over an hour. I believe she thought since she was pretty she didn't have to do anything. You guys should really look at replacing this girl. And hiring more like Amy. Good job Amy you're awesome.

We don't get to Arizona often but when we do, Tru burger is a must stop. Amy greeted us like family upon entering. Dayvon served us and although very busy, we still received the same friendly service we're accustom to. Christian made our drinks and boy were they strong. The zucchini crisps with ranch were do good and that's not because I was starving! Tried the ahi burger and Italian burger this visit. I was expecting a piece of fish, but it's formed into a patty which is genius! It looked like a turkey patty and I loved that I still got the feeling I was eating a burger. I was skeptical about the Italian burger but I'm so glad that I tried it! This was absolutely delicious and so different. I love the brioche buns. I can't forget to mention the incredible roasted vegetables on the menu. I'm not sure how I've missed them before but they are a definite must get. Maybe the owners will consider expanding to California because we love a good burger. Until next time Tru burger, thanks for hospitality, good eats, and few extra pounds!

It was a little after 5:00, not busy, parking was easy, quick table. Cheerful employees. Wife liked her generous wine poor, server remember not to put ice in my Dr Pepper as requested (you'd be surprised). Burgers were good: the beef has good flavor, the fish burger was well cooked, thin fries, half sweet potato and a little crunchy without being overcooked. I got the Blue burger which included bacon and it was a good amount of bacon not just a couple anemic strips. It was absolutely on point. It's not a fancy place, we didn't want that, and it was perfect for where it's aiming.
