Review Stand Up Live - Phoenix

Great experience and the food was great. Nice to be able to eat and watch a show at the same time. There’s a two drink minimum and with some nachos, a chicken sandwich, two lemonades, and two beers we paid about $110.

Great show. They fit a lot of people in that place. The 2 drink limit isn't too bad. I will go back.

Great venue and super friendly staff! I saw Frankie Quinones and had a great time! The food was so good, though a bit pricey! I would recommend anyone to go see a show here! Enjoy!

Stand Up Live always has great comedians at affordable prices. We just saw Brad Williams, and he was phenomenal! We've also seen Bruce Bruce and Felipe Esparza. Go REALLY early to avoid being at the middle or end of the long line that forms to get in. The space inside doesn't seem like it can fit 500 people, but it does, and even though it may be a little tight at times, we were still comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. The 2 drink minimum isn't too bad, and we just get water or soda, and that's about $32. The menu has pretty good options that aren't too pricey and the food is good. Overall, this is a great place for a date night with your significant other, or a fun time with some friends.

Went to see DeRay the other night then hung out at the bar next door after. Had the best time! Was super impressed at how clean the bathrooms were. Although some of the women who used it should never use a restroom in public! Eeekk! The drinks were great & the establishment is in such a great location.

It was our first time going to a live show for a stand-up comedian (other than John Mulaney but he was in an actual theater) at such an intimate venue, so of course I was reading both the Yelp and Google reviews just so I knew what to expect. Long story short, almost every negative review was completely false! The biggest thing that stood out to me was there was no enforcement or even mention by our server or other servers about their "2 drink minimum" policy. The bestie and I both ordered a diet coke and that was all that was said on the drink situation. I ordered the soft pretzel which was super thick and (definitely) soft and the bestie ordered the truffle fries, which she said could have been warmer. Other than that, they weren't bad. The cheese that came with my pretzel was really delicious! Also another note on how you really have to take the bad reviews with a grain of salt - I read one review where someone never even got their drinks/food for the entire show (or at least something came out within 5 minutes of the show ending). However, this was not the case with us. We sat down and ordered our drinks within the first minute. The drinks came out maybe 2 minutes later, and we ordered our food next... which came out even before the first opener of the show started! We almost wished we had gotten our food a little later LOL. The service was great, the acts were great. We would definitely see ourselves coming back here again! This was really a great reminder to take all these negative reviews with a grain of salt because anyone can find stuff to complain about. I mean yeah, they do upcharge you for literally everything but that was the only negative thing I can think of. The seats also weren't as crammed together as other people are making them out to be. Yeah, it was like a cafeteria table with individual seats but just think of it as an intimate venue with a lot of people laughing together, having a good time, and look past it.

The talent that was in town at the comedy show was Ms. Pat. The flow to get everyone in for showtime was smooth. Great smiles by the staff at the door. Fantastic escort to our seats. Our server, Jason was by far the best as this was our tenth time at this venue. The two drink minimum seems to be an industry standard but Stand-Up should be different and drop anything that's mandatory spend for its customers

Great location in downtown Phoenix. Lots of underground parking available in the area and a number of restaurants and bars within walking distance. This venue is connected to Copper Blues and often has live music. The food menu is okay, and they have a full bar. Prices are a little higher but not out of line with other bars in the area. They have great local comedians and always get big headliners when they are in town. We normally visit the location at Desert Ridge in north Phoenix, but it's fun to go downtown every once in a while.

Love the venue very intimate and the prices were reasonable not to mention Sommore put on one hell of a show and had a meet and greet after with a picture very well put together service was great all around! I also went to see Bruce Bruce my what a class act and one hell of a show as well.

This place is great! Good atmosphere and servers. Wish I could remember the waiters name who served us at the Filipe Esparza show, he was great. Even the comedians who open are good. Always have a good time and it’s great to have Copper Blues right next door! We’ll be going back.

This is a really nice comedy club me and my husband got to see Mike Epps live. It was great. Food was OK. Drinks were pricey and I do believe it is a minimum of two drinks once in the door even after you’ve already paid for your ticket. But overall it is a very nice place and you don’t have to go home you can PARTYNEXTDOOR or catch some food downstairs.

Had a blast with the wife! Very cool and comfortable, the show was super funny. Definitely going aging.

I love this venue. The staff is amazing, courteous, helpful, attentive, and just really nice. The food is solid and the drinks are poured with love. 😊. Thank you to everyone at Stand-up live for making each show we attend a solid experience.

Holy Hanna, can they squeeze a lot of people in one room! It oddly worked out, though, and general admission is reasonable enough to justify the space you have. If you're going on a super busy night, be prepared to just order everything once and keep it simple. The food is great, and I suggest getting the beer bucket, so you're not reliant on a super busy waitress. They made sure to keep everyone really hydrated, though, and that was amazing. The lines to get it were pretty tough. We quickly realized why people were waiting hours in advance.

This was my first trip to StandUpLive. Parking was a bit confusing and the the stairwell led us to the surface street. Not a huge deal but they could mark directions in the parking garage. As for the venue itself, fantastic. Very friendly staff start to finish. Bert Kreischer was easily the funniest comedian I've seen live. He's definitely for the 21 and over crowd. All around, great show, good food and drinks. I can't wait to book another show. 5 stars!

The only reason I went to this God awful place was to see Gabriel Iglesias. Otherwise I wouldve never stepped in to this hell hole. Rude staff, rediculous drink prices and small portions. Top that with over crowded seating and slow service. Also be careful when coming out of this place. No security that watches around the place. We were followed by two guys until we got to our car.

Seating is kinda tight, I feel bad for the wait staff because they bump into so many people and sometimes can't get by to the table they are serving. Food was pretty good and comes out fast. We ordered of the Headliner specialty menu (2 drinks) only got one souvenir cup and no VIP tickets so don't waste your money on an $18.00 drink because that is pretty much all you are going to get Our waitress was so friendly and very informative so yay for her! The show it self was so funny and we were so glad that we went to experience Stand up live. I just wish we got the two VIP tickets that should have been included with the two drinks we ordered off the headliner menu.

Getting kicked out for laughing too loud. You’ve got to be kidding me! And then ask us to pay for the food and drinks we didn’t even get to enjoy. This place is a joke and will rob you of your money.

We have been going here for years and truly enjoy the atmosphere and top talent that the club provides. The management is excellent and they take the time to remember as well as greet frequent customers. Wait staff has improved considerably since we started coming. While food and drinks are a bit pricey (as with most comedy clubs), the food quality and appearance is very good. Drinks tend to be hit/miss depending on the day. The only negative for CityScape is some of the riff raff who seem to be hanging out on the East side who frequently pester and beg from customers. This can be a bit unsettling at times but we haven't experienced or seen anything serious.

We always have a great time an Stand Up Live! The staff is amazing and the Comedians are always funny. I would recommend this Comedy Club to anybody! This is a great date night or gathering a bunch of friends to go!

I went there tonight to see Craig Robinson which was the worst comedy performance I have ever seen in my life. I usually go to the Tempe improve and I love it. But tonight was different... The bouncer told us we could go get drinks and see him later to avoid the line but that was not true. On top of that... I paid $75 to see a comedy performance but instead got a piano recital disguised as a crowd singalong. It was so bad that a lot of the crowd walked out before he was done and he had to bring on the previous comedians to help him when he's supposed to be the headliner. It was terrible. I should have known it would be bad because as we were walking in another person said the show sucked because he spent too much time taking about his festival.

I was there last night with a group of 7 to celebrate my friends birthday. We did show up a bit late and sat at the top bar area. Right when we sat down everyone around us started to complain. We couldn't talk, laugh or get up to use the restroom without people talking sh*t. I was told to shut up even when trying to order drinks. When we got up we were told to sit down and stop being "all over the place." It was ridiculous. The people that go here are extremely rude. Needless to say we will not be attending again.

The line situation is horribly stupid. It's the worst experience I've ever had. It's time to adopt assigned seating so people don't have to stand in 90degree+ weather for an hour and a half. Beyond that the prices are as bad as the house of blues, maybe worse but the staff is good and the plating looked great as well.
Moses Eason
It might be a good place but you guys have kept everyone standing outside in a sweaty ass line for 35 minutes and it's 106 degrees out. Space your shows out or something. Bert Kreisler might be funny but holy fuck, he's not THAT funny. You bastards better have REALLY cold beer inside...
Marie Palacios
We had a great time last night and the ENTIRE!! staff was amazing. I had a very large group (38 folks) and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group. The comedians were funny as hell. If you've never been to a comedy show before, you have to check out Stand Up Live Downtown. Food and drinks are delish and the atmosphere is very up-beat.

Comedy was great, I am a huge fan of Christopher Titus. Drinks a bit overpriced. !4.00 for an Old Fashioned. I will say it was a really really good Old Fashioned, hats off to the bartender.

I enjoy myself every time! No complaints! I would most definitely bring a group of friends and pay for VIP definitely worth it!
