Neighborhood classic. The food is constantly top-notch. Visit this place almost weekly and regularly put new people onto this place. Can't sing their praises enough. I'd recommend to you, the consumer who plays it overly safe and just order Pad thai, trust these people to impress you with something new.
Amazing food in a beautiful restaurant with the friendliest staff! If you are in the Paradise Valley area, this place is a must visit for lunch or dinner! I usually get the Pad Thai with chicken at a spicy level of 3 and no peanuts but every now and then I switch it up with Suki Yaki soup (the best soup if you are feeling under the weather or when the weather is cold and freezing).
Last night, we had the Crab Wontons (I also highly recommend their fried egg rolls. They are the perfect amount of crisp and served hot right out of the fryer). The Crab Wontons were served hot and easy to break in half to enjoy both the Crab stuffing and the crispness of the wonton wrapping. It comes with a sweet and sour sauce for you to pour on or dip in. The sweet and sour sauce is also good with rice if your entrée includes rice.
With that note, both entrées we ordered include rice so they gave us a bigger bowl of white rice. The BBQ pork spare ribs is beautifully cooked and just a perfect amount of Asian BBQ sauce that bursts in flavor in every bite. It comes with a sweet chili sauce but honestly, it compliments the ribs but not needed for how well they are made. The entrée comes with chunks of pineapple, some cucumbers, tomatoes slices, and lettuce. The curry is highly recommended. Inlove their red and yellow curry with chicken and if you like the mild/medium spice, I recommend a level of 2 or 3. I love my rice in the curry but it is my personal preference. I was so excited to start eating that I forgot to take a picture before I added the rice to the curry. Rice is served separately so you can choose how you want to enjoy the curry. I don't mind if my rice becomes a little soggy but absorbed with that curry flavor; amazing.
Austin and the ladies are always nice and welcoming with every visit. There is a new staff member, Welbie (I hope I spelled his name right; the bodybuilder guy) who we had the last two visits. Very humble and friendly. All of them are just down to earth good people. We enjoy coming to this business because it feels like home and coming home to a nice cooked meal.
They also offer take out and the wait time is reasonable depending on how much you order. They will give you an estimate pick up time when you call in.
Worth mentioning:
I recommend the Thai Tea and make sure you stir it with your straw for the full flavor. I also enjoy watching the milk mix with the tea as I stir.
Loved it! Everything was so fresh and tasty. Only complaint I have, if you can call it that, is I ordered alive level 3 and my mouth was on fire. Next time I'll order a 2 maybe 1.
This was hands down the best Thai I’ve ever had! The food was incredible and I even ordered some to go! My server Austin, did not skip a beat and was very friendly and respectful. The owner is also very passionate about the restaurant and makes sure everyone that comes through the door is happy and satisfied. If you haven’t been here yet, just come and eat! I’ll be back 🥳

Another surprise eating at a Thai restaurant in Phoenix. The snow peas snapped, the pad Thai on point and the catfish Crunchy!
Our absolute favorite Thai Curry in North Phoenix. The curries are wonderfully complex and smooth. Add a little spice and it’s a sensational treat. We’ve sampled many menu items which were very good but we most often enjoy red curry and mus-sa-mun curry.
Great service and great food!
Just tried the Tom Yum soup… excellent
Fresh, delicious, and healthy ingredients! Finally a fried rice without all the added oils, and soy sauce! That's just the tip of the iceberg, the menu is alive with flavorful entrees, and their wings are a must try! Forget the buffet guys, and go Sala Thai! New wall design behind the register, lookin good folks!!!
Stopped in to try this little Thai place today. The pad Thai I ordered was awesome. Everything was fresh and delicious! Can't wait to come back and try their pumpkin curry. I'd definitely recommend you give this place a try!
Absolutely delicious!! We had the pepper steak and mus-sa-mun curry. They were both flavourful with generous portions, enough to take a little home for later. The staff was fantastic also, everyone was so nice and helpful even with being super busy! We will definitely be back.
Sala Thai Restaurant offers an exceptional Thai dining experience. The menu is filled with delicious and authentic dishes, and the flavors are truly memorable. The restaurant's welcoming ambiance and attentive service make it a top choice for Thai cuisine enthusiasts. For a taste of Thailand in a cozy setting, Sala Thai is highly recommended.
