I love little treats, one might say I'm always on the hunt for them. Came here while I had some time to kill and the eas no shortage of delicious looking treats to choose from. Had the apple danish and cherry turnover. These treats hit the spot!

Lots of options here. Come early because many things sell fast. Better prices on cakes as well. Since Panera no longer sells the Brittany's or (the kouign amann or Breton), this place has kouignettes). Croissants are huge. Lemon was great too.

This was such a memorable and amazing birthday experience!!!! This was our impression of a Chick-fil-A cake made by Christine (who is absolutely amazing to work with and did her vision for this cake). It was a red velvet cream cheese cake and probably one of the best cakes I’ve ever had…. 25/15 will be coming here for everything! Thank YOU Karl’s Bakery!

Heard good things so I dropped in to give it a go. I was NOT disappointed what so ever! The staff was friendly and quick. The bakery was clean and tidy. The baked goods were absolutely amazing! The spinach and cheese croissant was fantastic! The chocolate croissant was excellent as well. Probably the best sugar cookies I've ever had. And they were decorated beautifully too. I'll definitely be going back!

I have been going to Karl’s since we arrived in Phoenix- when they were at the Dunlap location. His daughter makes the most fantastic chocolate, & his wife is wonderful. You cannot go wrong with anything you order. The alligator is famous in our family, & I love the cookies. We have yet to get anything from here that wasn’t fabulous. I cannot recommend them enough. You absolutely get what you pay for, and more!

Last time I went here was a few years back. They had/have really delicious cakes, as well as other goodies like the cookies and small pastries. I used to get a few cakes every year for birthdays in my family. I particularly liked the black forest cake, it was a bit bitter but very unique. Unfortunately, a few years back when I came, they had run out of cakes on hand for a birthday, and since I hadn't ordered ahead I ended up going elsewhere. This isn't something I hold against Karl's, it just is what it is. Anyway, I came back recently as I missed the lovely cakes, and lo and behold I was shocked to see the sticker price jump. It went from somewhere in the vicinity of $40-60 to $150 in the course of a couple years! I realize there's a recession, but it's a big ask to expect people to shell out 5x what you'd expect to spend at a Safeway bakery. I haven't really checked around at other standalone bakeries though, perhaps this is normal these days? Certainly, the quality is good, perhaps the owner is trying to style themselves as a luxury shop. Regardless, I can't afford to support them anymore, though I hope they continue to do well.

I've been on the hunt for a new local bakery after moving in the area and omg, Karl's did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in the door the staff was amazing and welcoming, the cases were full of amazing pastries, cookies, cake, brownies, fritters, and oh so much more! The quality of their selections show the time, effort, fresh ingredients, and love that is put into each thing they create! Everything was fresh, fluffy, and bursting with flavor in every bite! They've hooked me, I will be back! Thank you for everything you do!!!

Placed my order online for a Black Forest cake, for my birthday and this was my favorite cake as a kid, pick up went smooth and the staff was very friendly. Cake was also delicious and a reminder why I used to love it, thank you.

This place is amazing! High quality, affordable, personable and competent staff, and a wide variety of delicious treats! My boyfriend and I like to get up early and grab a box of pastries from them every few weeks as a special treat, and everything we've ever had there is just to die for. We discovered it when looking for a Swedish princess cake for my birthday, and it was incredible! I highly recommend this bakery, and of course we'll be back.
