What a nice little place. Great sandwiches and a variety of offerings which is really good. The staff is always friendly and helpful and Speedy with your order. They have a lounge seating area in the back with the TV if you want to sit and be entertained while you eat. Of course they have small tables big tables for whatever size party you're taking to lunch. It's a little bit spendy for sandwiches though

I am such a food person!!! I love love love this place! The food is amazing and so is the service! Jerry and his daughter Allie are super nice and personable! A good morning with a smile and delicious breakfast is always a good start to a morning. This has replaced my Starbucks coffee and breakfast runs! I've tried soo many different foods on their menu and haven't been disappointed with one of them! I love their Hippie Style Oatmeal. Their Benny breakfast sandwich is yummy too! If you want a good salad, try their Curried Chicken Salad. My husband loves their Original Breakfast Sandwich and their, fluffy on the inside but crumbly muffin top, Blueberry Muffins! Stop in and try anything on the menu! You won't regret it. :)

Delicious sandwiches. We got the Gus and Snapshot. Both were SO good. The bread was soft and just right. The service was great also. Very friendly, had a small town "everyone knows your name" kind of feel.

My fiance and I recently stayed at the Pointe Hilton resort. We walked over to the Brown Bag for breakfast on three different occasions. Each time we had a great experience. The owner, Jerry I believe, was a fun guy for some conversation.
The coffee and food were also great! I'd recommend the breakfast burrito. It had a good potato taste. It was also hearty. It kept me full for a good 6 hours.

I had a club sandwich. Really good the bread was soft and the honey mustard was great. I opted to get the potato salad for a little more and I was glad I did. It was flavorful and even though I thought is was not enough when I finished eating it was the perfect amount. Glad I stopped in for an easy quick lunch.

I had the health nut sandwich. It's hummus, turkey, roasted red peppers, and a couple other ingredients... Very yummy! The smoothie was also delicious. Service was fantastic. Extremely polite and welcoming. Family business.

This place is so good! Found it on my way to subway and decided to try this instead, so glad I did. They will custom make any sandwich you want! I did chicken, spinach, onion, tomato, avocado, chipotle dressing and goat cheese in a warm wrap and it was the best sandwich I've had in a long time. Will definitely return.

We come to Phoenix once a year and stay at the hotel very near the Brown Bag. The owner have been very friendly on each of our visits to his little coffee cafe. The coffee is always hot and ready. He has a great variety of health breakfast and lunch options. Looking forward to seeing him again next February.

Update: When I discovered I couldn't work here they graciously gave me a refund. So I'm upping my review to four stars. If you don't need wifi then this spot is lovely. If you do, it's not the spot for you.
Backstory:
When I parked my first clue was that the place was empty. There is no wifi in this place so if you've come to have a cup and get some work done you'll be woefully disappointed.
Coffee's pretty good and the service is pleasant. They have plenty of empty seating (see no wifi) which is a shame...because this could easily be a five star spot if they had not skimped on one of the basic components of a 21st century coffee spot.

There are a lot of simple deli's out there- this isn't one of them. Although they have reasonable prices, and not the fanciest decor- don't let the unassuming cover fool you. The raving Yelp reviews led my fiancé and I here. We live in Tempe so aren't in this part of town much, but we are so glad we stopped in! No line and immediate, friendly service. They have a wide array of sandwiches, wraps and salads (for a low carber like myself, they will turn any sandwich into a salad FYI). All the sandieches are made fresh to order with fresh bread and quality ingredients. They also do fun twists like tuna salad with sriracha aioli, or warm sandwich versions of antipasti salads with pest sauce. My fiancé LOVED his toasted Schmoos sandwich with roast beef, roast chicken, fresh lettuce, tomato and bacon of course. All good sandwiches have bacon after all.
If you are in the area and want a healthy, light, fresh meal- you should stop in.
Oh and did I mention that they have fresh, giant homemade cookies and smoothies... Yeah , you're welcome.

5 stars for the food and coffee. 4 for the space and ambience...and they were out of coffee when we got here at 10am.
Father-in-law used the word "tremeeeendous" to describe the blueberry muffin which I have to say I was drooling over.
I had the original with chorizo which had just the right amount of spice.
Wife had the Florentino which she def gave a 5 star. The ciabatta was fresh...not to chewy, not to tough and crunchy.
Coffee was strong and yummy. Gotta be careful, it goes down so smooth I got a buzz in no time.
Highly recommended.
