I had Carne Asada Enchiladas, and they were excellent. Very good taste. Service is fast. A very well-made salsa came with the chips. Nice heat. Very busy establishment.

I ranked lower on the atmosphere only due to the not as many larger tables. They greet you with chips and salsa and we have not had any complaints on the different dishes. Drinks are cheap and service is great. Food comes out quick. We go there with our grown kids who love to go there, so we will continue to have this as one of our go to restaurants.
Wetdog in a desert
Great spot for a cocktail, beer, or chow (or any combination of the above).
Friendly and efficient service. Nice atmosphere and a nice patio area. Not a sports bar, but enough TVs two watch a game or two. Yup, Mexican food, but their hamburger is great too. Heck, the whole menu (well, everything I've tried) is great.

By the time the better-than-most chips and salsa hit the table, your eyes will have adjusted to the bunker-like lighting. Get the enchiladas, I suggest machaca, order a margarita with your beer, and you're minutes away from beefy, saucy, cheesy bliss!

REAL food. Busy location, wait a bit, but once you’re in… phenomenal. Despite having tons of tables, the service was great, the food was spectacular, and everything was so much better than anticipated! I particularly loved my homemade tamale!

Excellent Mexican Food Restaurant! From the chips and salsa to the main combination plates, the food was authentic and delicious. The staff was friendly and the service was the best possible service you could receive! I couldn't of asked for a better dining experience. Highly rated restaurant visited by numerous athletes, celebrities, and presidents.

Best Mexican food I've had in a while. Recommended by my friends or I wouldn't have found. Reasonably close to the airport. Super friendly service, cozy interior, food to die for.

We really enjoyed the quality of the food. It was what I was looking for. Everything tasted fresh, and our server was very nice and did a great job. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were good, as well as everything we ordered. We got a to go order for my dad, who wasn't with us, and he finished off everything saying how good it was.

Great small Mexican restaurant! Food is good, margaritas are great, and the salsa has a nice, flavorful kick to it. Service was A+!
Only reason for 4 stars is because there’s really nothing “special” about this place versus any other Mexican restaurant in the Valley. Note to owner: consider a handful of Tee Pee Specialty dishes. That would take your restaurant to the next level.

Food was so good. Waitress Paloma was so nice and happy. Excellent margaritas.

i love tee pee restaurant and bar. The food is good. You're served chips and salsa when you are seated. You can order margaritas by glasses or pitchers..I chose the small pitcher.. perfect for 2. I also ordered the machaca beef plate it comes with rice and beans and tortillas...my friend ordered green chili plate... very good. There is patio seating. Restaurant seating and bar seating. Wheelchair accessible. Kid friendly. And plenty of parking .

Traveling for business and met with a friend who is local to Phoenix. He mentioned this cool little place around the corner where President George W. Bush ate years ago. I was in. When we arrived it had just opened. There were people on the back patio but the dining room was empty. Without asking our hostess sat us at The President's table. We totally touristed out and took lots of pictures! The staff were lovely. We ordered the Presidential Special, two cheese and onion enchiladas with a side of rice and beans, among other things (beef tamale, beef taco, etc). The salsa and rice weren't my favorite. The salsa was a little too hot to enjoy and both left some to be desired when it came to flavor. But, the rest of the food was great. The dining room filled up fast. it was apparent quickly that those who knew the area knew this was the place to be. By the time we left there were people waiting to be seated. It was clean and nicely decorated. Smiling attentive staff. good food. Fun upbeat atmosphere. Just an all around great lunch at the Tee Pee. Worth going if you're in the area!

Update: Went there 2/4/23, and can confirm that this is still my favorite brunch place! A fun, delicious place to have dinner and brunch on Sundays! I've been coming here for years and it's still my favorite place. Service is great and the atmosphere is perfect. Good patio for sitting outside, and great prices!
These guys are amazing. I come often by myself and they always make an effort to be friendly and attentive so I never feel awkward!

The world may change but Tee Pee remains my favourite Mexican restaurant in Metro Phoenix. The food is delicious consistently, super reasonably priced and the service is excellent every time. I pray Tee Pee remains forever…

Stopped in for happy hour to try Tee Pee out. Loved the mini burros and carne asada street tacos. Service was great despite being busy. Cozy atmosphere and lots of character. We'll go back when we can. Recommended.

This is "old school" Phoenix at it's very best. The food is so authentic you'll speak Sonoran on your way out the door. Their Rellenos are amazeballs, and if you're super cool, get a bowl of red or green Chili (or both -- Christmas Chili!) with a fried egg on top. Don't forget the Cheese Crisp for appetizer!
Enchiladas are also good with an egg. Order it like that and the waiters will know you are a veteran Mexican Food eater!!
Can't say enough nice things about this place. Please don't let it change!

It's hard to complain about a burrito that is filled with nothing but meat, but I do like having some veggies for some lightness. Everything tasted good though, and the service was great. The interior and seating needs some serious work, as it is very dated. I will definitely be back
Susan Goss Lightburne
Food was good - as always - service was a bit slow. No reason - there was room for more guests, and more than server in the place.

Tee Pee Tap Room is always excellent! Yesterday we sat out on the patio and enjoyed a cool lunchtime breeze. Two cold beers in hand, a couple of cheese crisps, and we had a nice lunchtime snack. Our waiter was fun and served us quickly. The food is always fantastic. When in town, we try to stop by when we can.

always a great place for Mexican Food, must have the cheese crisp with green chili strips!
Pat Moffitt
I would have given 5 stars but the service was average at best. However the food made up for it. Great salsa, yummy street tacos and OMG the green chili burrito lunch special! We really enjoyed the food and will go back again.
Stephen Jensen
Maybe we went on a bad Saturday night but at 8pm the place was empty and the food was not very good. Will give it another shot before putting it on my off limits list.

A Classic! I have either lived in or visited Arizona for over 40 years. I have been dining at Tee Pee from almost the first day and it has always been special... an unchanged! Sonoran Mexican food pnever will be better

This place has been a part of my life for over 50 years. The quality is constant and the people are the best. I have been part of their family for generations, at least in an honorary level!
Jessica Marie Weaver
This food was fantastic and the drinks were yummy.. And the service was so good, they even took a picture for my friends and I.

Haven’t been in years! The best enchiladas I have ever had!!!!
Did get my bill wrong and I hope my CC statement corrects itself by Monday as of course it was more than it was supposed to be!!

I love the vegan option of rice & beans & love the guacamole! <3 this is my family's restaurant & we love the teepee!

A must if you’re traveling to Phoenix. You won’t regret it!!

Soo hot

This was our first time. The food was good but so hot. We ordered fajitas and they cook it all with jalapeños even though it doesn’t say that on the menu.

If you don’t like spicy you have to request it be cooked without.

The portion was good. Service was good.

Not ideal for large groups.

They have booths that seat 4 with a wall in between so if you have more than 4 the party is sort of split up.

We would visit again.
The Food Avenger
This is the kind of place you must try, simply for the history. It's old and musty , a bit rundown. The food is good, but there is better Mexican elsewhere. It's a true dive, without trying to be! If you like traditional chile rellenos, you probably won't like these, just a heads up.They are fluffy & eggy. Kind of scary. Food..C, Service ..C, Ambience..B, Value..C

I love the Tee Pee. Every Saturday @ noon I visit the Tee Pee for lunch. It's my reward for getting through the week. I like the food, the people, the ambiance and the bar.

Chile rellanos to die for. I judge a Mexican restaurant by the quality of the chile rellanos. Passing through Phoenix on a road trip with friends, my husband tempted us with tales of legendary, soufflé like rellanos he had seen but not tried on a previous visit to the Tee Pee. We were all in for the experience. Wow! These rellanos surpassed the build up. I have never had anything like this and nothing will ever compare. Light, fluffy soufflés with delicious marinated poblano peppers and Spanish sauce on the side to make this a truly memorable treat. Loved the vibe of this busy restaurant and our service was outstanding.
Rich
Slightly better than average classic old fashioned Mexican food. However, the vibe is fun. A real dive filled with character. I will come back. Looking forward to an afternoon of $3 happy hour margaritas and pitchers of beer. I bet there is nothing bad on the menu. My beef fajita taco and pork tamale was a solid B. My wife's burrito was even better.

One of my favorite restaurants, orange booths that have been the same since they opened and great service makes for a fun night. The food is excellent and it is a go to place to celebrate something.
Professor Awesome
Gross. Carne asada tacos tasted like horse meat. No seasoning. Fish tacos tasted rotten
Rhay
Fun and filling!. Expecting greasy food was thrilled it was the total opposite! Sat in the bar due to speed and was amazed at the quality and quantity of food. 1 enchilada was filling enough. Service was fast and friendly.

An old standby. Been eating here for 15 years or so. In my top 10 for Phoenix, very solid and consistent. There are two rooms: the bar and the dining room. The whole place has a bit of a noisy, blue-collar bar atmosphere, if that sort of thing concerns you, but everyone is having a good time. The salsa is not that hot, but tastes great and there is also a bottle of red chile sauce. The food is hot and great tasting, with plenty of cheese. Every time I eat here, which is only once or twice a year, I wonder why I don't drop in more often. Yes, George W. Bush dropped in for dinner in 2004, and there is a signed letter and newspaper article framed above the table he used. I wonder where they parked the motorcade.
Doctorj
Always a favorite. I've been eating here for decades! Grab a pitcher of margaritas and try a Mary Lou!
Wayne
Great!. Used to attend meetings in Scottsdale annually and never failed to eat here AR least once. First time back in several years and it is still my favorite place for Mexican food. Nothing has changed....it is still a neighborhood dive with cold beer, great food and excellent margaritas. Prices very reasonable.

Good old style american Mexican food. As long as you go in understanding this you will enjoy this dive bar resturaunt. Even the previous 2 presidents of USA enjoyed it
Bob
Great Mexican Dive in Arcadia. Had lunch here with a client, and it one of those places that looks and feels like a really good dive, You walk in and can see all the pictures of famous folks that have visited. Fresh salsa and chips arrive at your table just after seating, the menu has a wide variety to choose from depending on your taste, lunch is busy, with a very lively atmosphere. Food is great, and if you like cheese, well you really enjoy it.

It was okay.... The food tasted good but was a little bit expensive for the quality of the food and restaurant. Everything was a little greasy to my taste. The salsa didn't seem very spicy but had a nice heat to it. Service was decent but the waitress was very busy; we didn't see her as often as we'd like. I might go again when I'm in the Phoenix area.
Garrett Allen Phelps
It's not exactly a low priced place.. I live in El Paso and have also lived in Albuquerque, The plates at the Tee Pee are on the high end price wise. Also, the food, while certainly tasty is very, very, heavy. My friend who is Mexican and I both got heartburn. While the cooks are Hispanic the customers are not. While it appeals to people in Phoenix, I doubt it would go over in El Paso or Albuquerque. It's too expensive and too heavy. But to each his own.

Yipp-Pee!!. I absolutely would ask for Tee Pee as my last meal! I love it that much! My most favorite thing on the menu is the presidential special- just rice beans and 2 cheese enchilada's. Its so simple but so good!! The shrimp tacos are really great as well. And you can't beat the prices!! I can't wait to go back tomorrow night!!
Robbie
Run of the mill Mexican food. Service was friendly, but the food was nothing special. I prefer a fresher and lighter Mexican style. Tee Pee's food was the all too typical high calorie, high fat, greasy, not-so-fresh variety.
