I fell in love with the place!!! The Restaurant- The architecture, the decor is very quaint... an added bonus, the Holiday Season so it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The food was awesome. The best tasting Mexican Food I have tasted in the Phoenix area. The food looks really good, tastes really good and the portions are large. Be ready to take food home with you! Our waiter Jared was awesome! Jared is very friendly, he truly cares for his customers. One can tell he enjoys and loves his work very much! He is one of the top waiters/waitresses that we ever had through the years of going out to dine. I will definitely recommend Aunt Chilada's. I think it would be a great place to take out of town guests when they visit the Phoenix, AZ!!
My wife and I have been coming here for some time and we really enjoy the whole experience. We dine at odd times and dont deal with the...rush...crowds. IMHO the flour chips and salsa are the best, white guy, chip and salsa combo in town. I always have the seafood enchiladas which are shrimp and scallops in a queso wrapped in a fresh made tortilla. The one odd thing about all the dishes is the...rice a roni...stuff they serve you with the beans instead of rice. If this isn’t your thing, your waiter will happily substitute Spanish rice for you. On Saturday, they have breakfast and a complimentary chocolate fountain with some fresh fruit and other stuff. The service has always been good, they get the food out quickly.
A great Phoenix staple! The margarita was on point. The salsa all was good but a little different than most. Food was pretty good… my husband cleaned his plate. Being August in the early evening, no one was sitting outside due to high temperatures, but the outdoor space looks amazing. Indoors was great and so special in this historic building. Staff was friendly and helpful. When I lived in Phoenix, I enjoyed going here. It was great to visit again on vacation!
Took a golf cart ride from the Hilton to this little place. When we walked in they asked if we were interested in their happy hour in the bar. Duh….. yes we are!!
Party of 5 seated quickly and greeted by a very friendly waitress/bartender. Ordered a round of margaritas on the rocks. They were excellent and inexpensive.
Chips and salsa were ok until we asked for spicy salsa. The regular salsa has black olives in it and was more like chunky tomato sauce. Then it was fabulous! The super spicy was the best.
I got 1 shredded beef and 1 chicken taco on happy hour. They were enormous. After filling up on spicy queso and guacamole i barely had room for them but I managed to finish them. The spicy queso is delicious and the guacamole was fresh!
Cute patio area and a huge outdoor covered area.
If you are staying at the Hilton, this is a must! Enjoy!
I came here as a plus one with my sister for her employee Christmas dinner. We were seated outside on the patio area surrounded by outdoor heaters and trees lighted up with festive holiday lights. It was a very nice experience. The staff was great with the service and catering.
They also have a stage outside where a live band was playing and I think karaoke or another band playing inside. One negative is the very small bathroom. Other than that this place is great.
Love the ambiance here! I had been to the one in Tempe but this one is definitely much nicer!! They had a bans playing the night we went and it's very romantic in the outdoor dining area with the lights. Food was good, drinks were pricey for the amt in the glass so I only got one but thought it tasted good. The chips and salsa were great 👍- I've definitely had better tortilla soup but it wasn't bad. My husband loved his shrimp pasta fettuccine-style dish. We'd definitely go back!
If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine, you won't be disappointed by this restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you're transported to a colorful and lively atmosphere that perfectly complements the delicious food.
The menu featured a range of classic Mexican dishes, as well as some unique creations that offered a fresh take on traditional favorites. Whether you're in the mood for tacos, enchiladas, or something a little more adventurous, there's something on the menu for everyone to enjoy.
The service was a little slow but I assume it was because of the big group. They did respect our dessert request though.
I absolutely love this place and have been going there for years. The patio is beautifully landscaped with flowering Vines and pots of all shapes and sizes. The food is always good and portion sizes are large. Last time my wife and I split the steak and shrimp fajitas and when paired with their incredible chips and salsa it was just the right size for a healthy lunch. Our server was attentive and this is a great spot to just hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather. I would love to give this place 5 stars as I really do love going here. A few things keep me from it though. Several times the wait between ordering drinks and receiving them has been rather slow. I know it isn't their servers faults because they have always been great, and stay on top of things. I feel there is a delay though when ordering drinks on the patio? The couple we were with commented on it as well. I also disagree with only getting 3 small tortillas when ordering. The amount of meat and sides is great, then there are 3 small tortillas.... And when you ask for more they kindly charge you for them and say nothing of it. It is this way with a few items in their menu. So that is a little upsetting. Other than that this really is a great spot for a family meal and you can even have your pups on the patio. I hope this review was helpful and Make it a great day!!
What a great Mexican restaurant. It is located in a cool historic building that was a general store in the 1800’s. They’ve done a great job with the additions to the building matching the original architecture. The food is amazing. Our group sampled many dishes, including the cheese crisps, burritos, chimichangas and tostadas.
Stopped in for a quick bite at lunch. Nice restaurant and staff seems very fun! I had the chopped Mexican salad and a Tito’s Rita which was perfect!

Food was Delicious!
Very comfortable seating.
Only one tiny thing could be better...If they would lower the volume of the music.
Spent an evening here for a wedding. Great space, no sound issues, well-placed heaters, and amazing bartender. The buffet was great, lots of options and yummy. We had beef tacos and chicken enchiladas and churros. The beef was fantastic!
