Review Otro Cafe - Phoenix

Love this place. First time visit on a Sunday morning and it was hoppin'! We were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. The bartender promptly greeted us and took our drink order, and then brought chips and salsa. The cuisine is Mexican with a unique twist, and our meal was great! We had to wait a little to get our check because the bartender was busy with drink orders. Had a line of Bloody Mary's in front of him, so I gave him the due grace since it was so busy. The employees all worked together like a well-oiled machine. It was neat to watch. They have an amazing coffee bar as well. It's worth the visit...I will go again!!

In one word... eclectic. The food has classics with serious twists and the freshest ingredients. I ordered the Naco Torta and the flavors and lightness surprised me. I had two eggs over easy on the carne asada. The guacamole spread, cheese and spices made this, hands down, the best of Phoenix. Service... Outstanding,...... atmosphere artsy, homey, and nuevo. I will be back soon. ❤️

We had lunch here with a friend and the food, service, and atmosphere are really nice. Otro is located in a small strip mall so the parking up front is pretty limited. There’s additional parking in the back. Casual eatery serving Mexican dishes that are made with fresh, quality ingredients. Everything we had was expertly prepared and tasted really good. We had a pork belly burger that was insanely good. The pork belly was tender and moist with a sweet and smoky BBQ flavor on top of a grass fed beef patty with avocado. It was served with potato wedges that were to die for. The potato wedges were fluffy on the inside and super crispy on the outside. I could eat them every day. My husband never finishes his meal and he cleaned his plate completely and has been talking about that burger every day since our visit. It was REALLY good. I had their version of the French dip sandwich. It was also unbelievably good. The meat was so tender and flavorful and the au jus served on the side was rich and flavorful as well. I took half of my sandwich home and reheated it later and it was just as good as when it was fresh. My friend had the shrimp ceviche…her absolute favorite dish served at Otro. It is fresh, bright, and flavorful with fresh, crisp vegetables and plenty of shrimp. I’m definitely going to try that on my next visit. Otro serves breakfast, lunch, and light dinner dishes with plenty of options. The service was also very good. Our server was pleasant and attentive. She checked on us regularly and kept our drinks topped off. She was wonderful!

Lovely Sunday brunch here! We got coffee drinks at the cafe first (ordered separately from meal at the table bc coffee selection is different), then dined on the patio. There was live music towards front of restaurant. Service is slower, so this is a place you come and enjoy a longer meal with friends—not a place to come if you’re in a rush for food. The food was delicious though! We all ordered different things, and no one was disappointed. I also got an orange/citrus concha (Mexican sweet bread) from the cafe bakery to go for later and it was a nice and different take on a concha that I enjoyed.

This is a great spot for good eats, a quick coffee date, or a place to work on a lazy afternoon. The only complaint I have is that my second visit my tea-latte wasn't very hot!! The service has always been great, even when they are super busy! The breakfast sampler was awesome and get to try the famous flapjacks (they are really good and well worth the wait!).

We were in the Uptown Farmers Market and decided to stop by Otro Café. Food server was courteous and very knowledgeable about the menu. The enchiladas were awesome. Queso Fundido was a little salty to my taste. This place is worth a try!

Place is absolutely delicious. The chips and salsa are god tier. We got some wings, the elote, and tried all the tacos. This is a must. The tortillas are like naan. It's incredible

Ok, I can't rave about this place enough. Best place ever. I have had their barbacoa dish, pozole, and pancakes 🥞. Not all together, but if I could eat all that at once, I would 😋 . I don't know what they do, but their coffee is so creamy and smooth.

Katie & Sue Haley, we’re awesome. I have eaten here a few times now. My posole was OK, although fresh, it wasn’t very tasty even after I added some of their homemade sauces that were delicious. My girlfriends salad was top notch, crisp, and flavorful. this place was clean and had a good vibe. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Breakfast was really good! Good service as well. Moderately price. Would recommend!

I've been a lunch patron of the Otro Cafe since it opened, and it has been one of my favorite go-to lunch destinations. Normally the customer service is spot on but today was a huge fail on the customer service side -- even though I arrived prior to the normal lunch crowd. After being seated on the patio and ignored for over 10 minutes as servers walked the patio, I got up and left. As I was walking out, I walked past the host who who sat me on the patio and he asked if I had been waited on, to which I replied, "no." Surprisingly, he made no attempt to stop me or apologize, and he just let me keep walking. Sorry Otro Cafe, but there are way too many lunch choices on 7th Street nowadays to have to endure poor customer service.

Was just reading other reviews. Seems people spend too much time whinning about nothing more than their own selfish unrealistic expectations! I can only imagine how miserable their lives must really be! Great place! Great food! Great people! Absolutely love this place!

I like the atmosphere, the food is good. Flour tortillas are yummy �. Tres leches cake is ok, I like it with some run. The tacos are very tasty. you can order one by one, so you can try different kind of taco. It needs more staff. Service was slow, forgetting we need water, we had to go get it. The cold water was only the first round then was room temperature.

Really good food, very friendly staff. Even got a off the menu item. Totally worth trying if you like Mexican food.

Great food but disappointing and slow service. Our waiter Ana kept forgetting our water jug refill (you're cups are tiny btw just a suggestion) as my party and I sat outside and took a long time to come take our order and check up on us thereafter. A second visit here with my boyfriend, I had the same waiter who when asked to give me my refill of my horchata (with no ice) in a to-go cup she gave a weak pour (all after telling me my first preference of agua fresca was not available due to the piñas being green still) I mean c'mon just fill the darn KID SIZE cup all the way. Towards the end of the meal as we were still eating our waiter didn't even ask if we were done with the in house made salsas and just takes the bottles. Again great food but disappointing service.

Customer service is great! The food is even better. By far one of my favorite places to brunch at.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long while. Destiny was such a kind waiter, the music being played put me in a great mood and the Flapjacks were the BEST I’ve ever had, sorry grandma If you haven’t tried Otro for breakfast. You’re missing out

One of my favorite places in Phoenix. Great, laid back atmosphere. Every single thing on the menu is amazi g from tacos to pancakes!

By far one of my top restaurants in Phoenix always will be a repeat customer service and food are always great
