Amazing and classic diner. What you want - good food, great service. The waitresses are pros. The booths all have plastic dividers so in the time of COVID you can feel more protected since the place is small. It’s cash only so fyi but there is an atm. Also you have to pay for parking but street parking was easy to find and was cheap
I've lived in the area for ten years and finally tried Bob's dinner. It lives up to its reputation and the food was wonderful with reasonable prices. The ladies were great and attentive, making sure we never ran out of coffee.
The dinner itself looks well maintained but not updated. Still has that 1970s feel (in a good way).
My only complaint is that in 2022, they are cash only.
Bobs is adorable! Food was great, staff was lovely. Cash only btw. will say, waitresses did not have masks on, only face shields. Hope they were vaccinated. Would recommend!
Great classic diner experience! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Or making it a regular spot if you’re a local. Food was quick and very tasty, portions were more than enough. Pancakes are super fluffy and stacked high. Everyone was the nicest from start to finish!!
A classic American diner experience. The staff and locals really are the heart of a place like this. You walk in an feel instantly at home as they welcome you to any seat you want. The menu has all the staples with a good amount of breakfast and lunch options. I usually stick to the breakfast classics such as eggs and bacon or a breakfast sandwich. If you’re up for having your mind blown, you must try one of their muffins off of the griddle. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. My only complaint is that they are a cash only establishment, but they do have an ATM onsite. I’ll keep coming back though as long as my cup of coffee is always filled ;)
First time visiting Bob's Diner, everything was absolutely perfect, food was fresh and delicious, coffee was fresh and hot (free refills), and the entire atmosphere was just perfect. The aesthetic of this diner has not changed since the 50s. Just go here if you're looking at it, you will not be disappointed.
Bob's has always been one of the best diners in Philly! Great specials everyday and the service can't be beat. I used to eat here so often back in the mid-90's that people used to call for me on the payphone in the back kitchen. Lots of great memories were made in this place!
