Food was very good and flavorful. The goat biryani was fresh hot when I picked it up. The vindaloo was not just spicy but full of flavor. I have no complaints about eating here again.
We got take out the food arrived in a timely manner and the delivery driver followed my instructions and left the food at my step before calling me (not knocking on the door and waking up the baby). First impression, the food was so fresh tasting. And it was so delicious. We got mild versions where we could and while there was a bit of hot spice that builds, my little ones (1 and 3 years) enjoyed it too with a mango lassi. Will definitely order again and directly from them.
I usually have a 5 star experience from here but today was 2 star. We were delivered flavored oil
Delicious food. Great service.
Beware of the check though. The restaurant automatically adds a 20% tip on the total bill and then gives you an additional option to add a tip when signing off on the check. A little shady if you ask me, but I still go back. 😆
The food was absolutely delicious. The tikka shrimp and chicken biryani were terrific. One of the few Indian places around you can find mulligawntawny soup on the menu. Definitely will be going back again soon.
Rangoli Indian Restaurant has great food and wonderful service, if you haven't been here yet definitely give them a try and support this local business!!!! You won't regret it!!!! This is be our regular weekly stop for sure!!!!!
This place is getting a 5 star bump from me. As of writing this review it's the best Indian I've had in the Northeast and maybe the best in all of Philly. The food was delicious, I really loved the lamb vindaloo, samosa and garlic naan. This place was empty when we ate here and that's why I'm giving them 5 stars. Is it the best Indian food I've ever had? No but this is really good for the area and I'd honestly like to see more people eat in. It's a nice looking space that feels appropriately decorated, and very clean (a rarity in the NE). My only complaint is that the chicken in the Tikka had no char so it made me doubt that it was cooked in an actual tandoori oven, I love the flavor a little bit of char brings to Indian chicken dishes. That said the lamb was cooked perfectly. My other complaints are knit-picky but I think the menu is too large in the sense there are a lot of redundancy. I think large menus are intimidating to new customers and that instead of listing chicken, lamb, goat, shrimp vindaloo you should just list vindaloo and have the meats under it. This could be done for a number of dishes and cut the menu size down which in turn is less intimidating. If also cut out all non-indian dishes. I know it's a trend for Asian restaurants to serve various food from other Asian cultures but it bothers me. I hate sitting down at a Japanese restaurant and seeing general tso and I hate seeing sushi on a Chinese places menu. When I saw spring rolls on the menu here I almost left, glad I didn't but it makes me feel like a restaurant isn't committed to the authenticity of their cuisine.
All in all the food was great and I will be back. I hope the quality stays high and if any changes need to occurr it's minimizing the menu (but don't drop the lamb!) and dropping irrelevant dishes.
Nice place to party we really had good time, staff was really Coperative and helpful.
