Koolae Restaurant

This was the first restaurant my Grandmother took me to when I came to Philly when I was 8 I am going to be 44 in 2 months. Loyal customer for 36 years. They fed my family for 3 generations. It's not the same owners I started out with but the quality of food never changed and these owners owned it for decades. If you can ignore what's going on outside it's a great stop. The neighborhood changed the restaurant did not.

Did you ever just look at food on a menu and say "Damn...I'd love to order/eat breakfast and have it actually taste as awesome as it looks!!!!" {bcuz it's picture perfect} Well that was my experience at Koolae Restaurant. The people who work there are very friendly and they had smiles on their faces as they waited on you. It was 1 of the worst day's of the 2018 winter, when the city was in 1 of the many state of emergencies we had. I can't begin to imagine how they got there bcuz walking was almost impossible!!! I would definitely recommend Koolae's to everyone I know!!!

I’ve been coming to this place for years !!! Living not to far is the plus !!! This place has the best breakfast around ..I mean I know the neighborhood changed a lot especially with everyone hanging outside this place but they don’t bother you unless u want what they got other then that I love there grits and scrambled eggs with cheese there home fries I think they changed they used to be more crispy not the last times I’ve gotten them ..but pancakes are good too I’ll be coming here again real soon ..

Koolae is a friendly oriented place the owners are so sweet and kind they always serve you with a warm smile, they are so family oriented and love to serve and get to know people around their neighborhood The food in this place is amazing .. mmmmm makes me wanna go now , lol , but i'm going to control my urge to run there and grab me some coffee the best I've had so far from all of the other places I've been too.by far.
