It had been a while since we had been to Nicks. The menu changed quite a bit but fit the better. Ashlynn was our server and she was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better, more pleasant and attentive server! Probably the best we ever had there. The food was really good and the love music was great. We were there for an early set and the musician was fabulous. Definitely worth going again.

This place has fallen off a lot. It looks dirty inside. Even our table was dirty when we sat and we had to ask for it to be cleaned. I got their signature hot roast beef dip sandwich and this thing was super bland. Tasted like rubber. Our drinks were also very unbalanced and almost un-drinkable. My wife said the mussels were pretty good. Not enough to bring us back.

My father passed away on a Tuesday and Nick's was able to book us a room for dinner within 2 days notice!!... The room was clean and employees were respectful!!...
They had different food to chose from and the food was excellent!!
I would recommend Nick's to everyone, especially if you are on time constraints.

Went to Nick's for the first time tonight. I have lived in Philly for over 35 years and never had a chance to check them out. Do not wait like I did lol. Good food, great service, nice welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely visit again and I do recommend them to anyone.

Ordered to go for lunch. There were maybe 6 tables eating. Place was very clean. Bartender glued to her phone and had RBF. Never smiled and seemed miserable to be there. Bottled coke was ice cold and Tacos and Club were good. Maybe Ill try again on a weekend night. 3 stars for the food and great prices. Would have been a 4 or 5 had I had at least good customer service.

Road pass many times. Decided to stop today had a roast beef and fries. Fries were good sandwich was on point what tipped it over the top was the two cold❄ tap beers. Server was very nice

Tried the food truck. It was very underwhelming and I thought the food was overpriced by at least $2. The roast beef sandwich was very dry and did not come with a sauce nor was one offered with it. I had to ask for horseradish sauce and douse the sandwich in it to add some moisture and flavor. And this sandwich was $9 for roast beef, cheese and a small bun.
Then I got fried pickles for $6 and there was no dipping sauce nor a ton of pickles for the price. I've gotten more pickles (that were better fried too) for less and with a sauce.
The final nail in the coffin on my experience was the amount of time it took to get through the line. Food trucks are usually good at taking orders and making the line move. I waited 10 mins to move up one spot and a total of at least 20-25 for a sandwich and fried pickles. I'm not sure if the food truck is new for your business but this wait time is long and unnecessary compared with all other food trucks I've eaten from. Will probably not eat your food again unfortunately because of all these factors. Hope you improve for future guests!

To be perfectly honest,the band was great butI thats about it.My friend and I went there to eat and have a few drinks..We sat at a table off to the right only to be ignored for at least a half an hour..Even asked the busboy if we could get a waitress..After being ignored even longer,we found an open booth on the other side.The waitresses and bus boys literally walked back and forth past us at least a dozen times before i finally decided to approach a waitress for menus..Overall,we waitid at least an hour to be acknowledged just so that we could order food and drinks..Bad experience andI probably wont go back any time soon!

I went to nicks last night, I used to go on fridays but a change in life brought me out on Saturdays and I had ordered food and it was hot, fresh and ready and infront of me within 15 minutes. The kitchen staff if very efficient.. The second I sat down I had a blonde girl I believe her name was Kate.. she came up and asked what I was drinking, I told her I was in the mood for something sweet and that I love coconut. She made me a martini that was out of this world! I had to have 3 of them! Lol. She made sure I liked it and made sure Me or anyone else I was with needed anything. Our drinks were cold, the food was hot and the bartender knew what she was doing behind the bar! After running around all night, i could not believe how great and fast she was able to handle the customers at once! You have to check this place out if you’re in the mood for a good time, good food, and kick ass drinks! � � �

Great experience tonight. It was my first time visiting. I came for the Blount signing which was great, but then I stayed for dinner. The place was very busy but the staff was great and the food was better. I will be back again soon.

Was here doe dinner Friday night. About 6 employees standing around talking...hardly no customers other than bar. We were sat at a table that still had food debris still on it. Ordered a kids hamburger for my nephew and the seeded bun was stale as anything! I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it was nothing to brag about. The food here used to be so good.....not anymore.

I recently visited the food truck at Free Will Brewing ..don't even waste your money. Absolutely the worst food. no flavor even after adding horseradish and extra au jus... the roast beef was flavorless and overpriced!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Very tender roast beef sandwich on a very fresh kaiser roll. First time there although my wife, who is from the neighborhood, had eaten there many times before they grew into the large bar-restaurant they are now. Service was prompt and friendly for the lunch hour and the prices were reasonable. The only downside of the visit was parking. Lot around back was full and I didn't want to park at the meter on Cottman Ave. 2xs around the block and I found a spot. Anyway, they advertise the best roast beef in the city; no complaint from me.

Every time I go to Nick's I get the same thing the roast pork sandwich with the long hots and provolone cheese it's my favorite I highly recommend it and my daughter she loves the French onion soup best in town!!!!!

delicious fresh meats- made to perfection and the gravy. Never been disappointed here. Hope they go back to making Black an Tan from scratch- my favorite with roast beef.

Disgusting ive been a customer over 20 years the seat was broken there was food from the people before on my table. Then a cockroach the size of my baby toe walking across th divider. I am actually heartbroken I loved your food. I wish I knew you have roaches before i spent 74.00 bucks to be sick to my stomach. Maybe put some money into the place and get a exterminator . Very sad day lost my favoriye sandwich place.

I used to like it here, but the food is now terrible. The roast beef I had in my French dip was definitely old and just lunchmeat quality. The fries were undercooked. The coleslaw tasted like it was bought at the Acme across the street 3 days ago and not stored properly. The only 2 good items were the crab cakes and buffalo shrimp, and that's probably because those have to be as fresh as possible for fear of foodborne illness.

It’s good. Looks nice. Management is doing a tremendous job. Best roast beef this side of the Mississippi. Groovy bartenders. Solid drinks. Would go again if I actually enjoyed bars. Best bar I’ve had the pleasure of going to.
