This is our first order from Ernie’s. We put in an online order and they called right away to tell us that they didn’t have Diet Coke. We switched it to a pick up but we had already paid online. They said they would credit the delivery fees and the cost of the soda.
The food was good. We bought a cheesesteak, a meatball sandwich, and a pizza with half pepperoni. It was all above average. I really enjoyed the flavor of the cheesesteak. Hopefully they will credit my card properly.
I would have left 5 stars but they put too much salt on their fries and their cheese steaks and I didn’t even ask for salt on my steak. If it weren’t for the salt, I would recommend their cheesesteaks especially when most places I ordered from put very little cheese on their cheesesteaks to the point you can’t taste it even when you ask for extra cheese, it seems a little skimpy. Their pizza is very good! Best in that area.
As far as the delivery people , some of them act like they have a problem bringing the food to your apartment. I have an issue with that I get charged a delivery fee and I leave the $4 tip all the time.. as long as you tell them to go to light on the salt, I would highly recommend to order from there, especially for the Pizza.
Every time one of visit Philly or my son's friends come to visit, Ernie's is a must stop. (Cheesesteak and pizza are the one thing we miss most about philly) central Pennsylvania has no comparison to ernies Cheesesteak and pizza
I really forgot how good their mozzarella sticks are. Pretty sure they’re homemade and if not… they are still amazing!
Second time ive been here and didn’t disappoint. Average price for pizza and great quantity & quality for fries. Dine in for better tasting quality. Hot and fresh
At first the lady at the front desk sounds rude but thats just her tone of voice. Shes nice, they’re just busy.
Best pizza I’ve had in a long time, thin crust & crispy. Definitely will be back for lunch in the future.
Plain cheese pie (18") is the only thing I order every time and love it. Reheated leftovers taste even better.
Go there everyday for lunch, food is always great , nice place to sit down and enjoy a lunch special and when I say cheap like 6 bucks for 2 slices and a soda 🥤 it's a no 🧠 brainer 😋
I have been going to this pizza shop for over 20 years and it is by far the best pizza and hoagie shop in northeast Philadelphia. Their pizza is unbelievablemy good and their hoagies are top notch. The pizza is hand tossed which I prefer over a pan pizza. But it is the cheese that makes the difference between an Ernies Pie as opposed to other pizza shops. They use Roma cheese which is very flavorful. I highly recommend your first pie from there be a plain pizza so you experience the taste of the pie itself. Their hoagies are awesome as well. My favorite is the ham and cheese hoagie but they ate all good. Ernies takes a good view; they build you a hoagie. A layer of ham then lettuce tomatoes and onions followed by a layer of cheese and then another layer of ham. A full six slices of ham on each half of the hoagie. Awesome and enough for two people. Steaks are good as well. Fries are acceptable and milk shakes are great. I am a long time satisfied customer.
Pizza is really good, they seem high prices but it is good quality. Parking is very small (2 cars at a time) and hard to navigate in and out.
