Really yummy banh mis + flavorful pho bo kho. Authentic flavors and excellent service. It’s a small hole in wall place with one employee- order ahead if you’re in a rush or have a big order.

Run here!!! I've tried so many vegetarian bahn mi around the city, and this is one of my favorites. Loads of filling, flavorful seasoned tofu, soft and crusty bread. The owner is really friendly. They take venmo! No indoor seating, some small tables for 2 outside. Perfect for lunch. Also the platter portions are huge!

This tiny spot isn't much to look at from the outside, but it's definitely worth a stop! In fact, after our food tour introduced us to it, we spent the next year trying to remember how to find it again and salivating over their delicious lemongrass tofu banh mi! I am new to banh mi, and I don't normally do tofu. But we walked about a mile to find it. It's that good! This place uses their family's traditional recipes and understands that tofu is not a meat and should not be prepared as one. And they are fantastic with their flavors--Even their garlic butter chicken, which can be a pretty overpowering flavor, was somehow gentle and almost slightly sweet. I'm super impressed and plan to return many times to this unique spot. :)

Small place, a vestibule really, but the food was super. The fellow who waited on us was patient, since it was our first time, took his time to explain the food choices to us and asked us if we needed to modify our choices. Plus his father and his brother work there, family business. I recommend this Cafe for take out Vietnamese food.

Take-out only. The customer service was good, the meats were well-seasoned, ingredients fresh, and portions generous.

This is a takeaway place with 2 little tables outside. Super friendly, very hardworking family run spot. Very big portions and very good prices with even better flavor !

What a gem! There’s no lack of great Vietnamese food in this area, but Pop Up Cafe is certainly holding its own. Flavorful banh mis, crispy bread, and refreshing smoothies (the avocado smoothie is so rich and tasty). Aside from the food, the owners are so friendly, always sharing a joke and a laugh. Great vibes all around. Stop in!

The best vegetarian banh mi I’ve ever had. So much flavor packed into one sandwich! The pickled vegetables and fresh herbs were a highlight and the lemongrass flavor in the tofu came through so delightfully! Congrats to the chefs! 100% recommend!

By far the BEST bahn mi joint in all of Philadelphia. And it's located in Queen's Village by the Italian-Mexican markets. How convenient! They've got the most unique options ranging from lemongrass pork (my fav) to birria bahn mi (yes, it comes with the soup as all birria should. Dip it & eat it for a flavor smorgasbord). They also have Pho, papaya salad, poke salad, 😋 and more! Did I mention they make fresh smoothies, too?? They do! Run by Danny & his dad, it has a warm hole-in-the-wall vibe, which makes you feel like you just stumbled upon Philly's best kept secret. No cap. You did. The prices are reasonable. The food is served hot & made fresh daily. The baguette is so crispy & soft. Ugh. There is not enough good things I can say about Pop-Up Cafe. They accept cash & venmo (sorry no card), with a slight upcharge on all venmo purchases. But that hasn't stopped me from ordering here on the regular & paying by venmo consistently. If you're in the area & on a budget, or down to try something new, flavorful, and filling, stop by Pop-Up Cafe. You you would be remiss if you missed the chance to do so.

True hidden gem of the Italian Market. The $6 cheesesteak is insane (kind of like a roast beef cheesesteak hybrid). Extremely tender meat, perfectly flavored and very little fat on a soft Vietnamese style baguette. No joke one of the best cheesesteaks in philly (and to reiterate only $6)! The poke bowl with special pop up dressing was fresh crisp and loaded with Tuna , mango and avacado. Can't wait to try the Pho...Run by a very sweet family. Eat here!
