Been coming here since 2006 and it was always good but it’s gotten noticeably better part year or so. Always dumb crispy, super tasty and on time you just can’t go wrong seriously.

Super delicious Chinese food. Best take out. They are fast and the family is so nice. General Tsos , Lo Mein, sesame chicken, wonton soup, etc etc. all so good!

Alright. So, I’m leaving this review because after eating here I’m surprised that their overall review score is as low as it is. I understand ppl are more likely to receive a generally negative review than a generally positive one so I thought I’d take a few minutes and say that based on what I ordered (a pricier option on many menus and no exception here) the sesame shrimp with fried rice ($17.50 with upcharge for plain fried rice), I don’t quite understand why so many ppl are shocked by the prices. Yeah, could it be a few dollars less? sure. But- it’s from a family owned and operated restaurant in a strip mall and the food was absolutely better than many walk-in Chinese places in my neighborhood in Philly (less than 15 min away). I waited less than 10 min when I walked in and placed my order. The shrimp was large and flavorful. Rice was sticky and fried. People were nice enough. These days Target is selling a Colgate standard toothbrush for $7. $20 to eat out seems kinda on par with these crazy expensive times.

This is the best chinese place in the Manayunk/Roxborough area. Its unfortunate that some people have had poor experiences with their delivery service, my roommate and I always joke that it's best to order delivery from New Ruby about 90 minutes before youre actually hungry. The food, however, is absolutely worth the wait. It's my go-to around here and i'm pretty picky with my chinese food. And honestly, if youre able to go pick the food up yourself, the service is super quick. No more than 15 minutes. 👍🏼

Excellent Chinese food for the price. The dining area is not necessarily my favorite, but I do love New Ruby for all my takeout Chinese food. Very sweet but also can be spicy depending on your preferences. Very tasty food, with an excellent variety. Seems very authentic as well.

Holy Cow. After poor experiences at other Chinese Food places in the Manayunk/Roxborough area, I was so shocked by this place. Price was right. Timing was great. Food was fantastic. People were nice. Honestly, after many poor Uber Eats/GrubHub and other experiences with Chinese Food and other restaurants recently, this was awesome. I ordered last night, and I'm still smiling enough to write this review the next morning. Definitely going back. Wow.

I was shocked! This place has the best Chinese food I've ever had. I cracked a bottle of wine and open the take out and we had a blast. The taste isn't too sweet nor too salty. They cook it with enough time for the crispy items instead of just frying it.

Ok so I never write reviews and I consider myself somewhat of a Chinese food connoisseur lol but the food that I ordered was incredible. This was the first time I ordered from here and usually my first order is basic stuff to see how it is before I start adventuring out to different parts of the menu. I got an order of general tso chicken, fried dumplings, egg rolls, and vegetable fried rice. Everything was cooked great and all the sauces were done perfectly; sweet with some heat but not overbearing. Again I just wanted to give this place the creditnit deserves and maybe help people decide since there are so many places to eat from. Anyway enjoy!
