Greatest pizza in NE Philly. Their sauce is AMAZING and the cowboy fries are especially delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!!!!
Had pizzas delivered for my son's birthday party and Johnny G's far exceeded my expectations! Pizzas were wonderful; everyone commented on how good it was. My son loved his special pizza--he said it's the best he ever had. Delivery was right on time. I cannot thank you enough for helping to make his special day even more special!!!!!!
Best pizza ever. Crispy, tasty and all fresh ingredients. Not the usual canned crap. Glad I found the place. That one star rating that I just read was a load of BS.
Never have I had anything soggy from here. That one star rating smells very fishy to me. Over the top and falsified for sure. I was surprised at how crispy the crust was when I ordered a tomato pie. We've gone on to love the garlic pizza and pizza fries.

great wonderful the best in Ne everything is unbelievably good. May I suggest medium pizza with extra sauce. I can't begin to write about how good this place is. Granted I have not tasted many pizzas out of the ne and I must admit some of the places around the city llook great. But for what it is Johnny gs is best in ne. I wish he added more exotic like med itterean and maybe some asperagas

We got the Fresh Open faced eye roast of beef and the stuffed rigatoni. As far as the roast beef it was ok one cut above lunch meat but if you look at my reviews I have eaten some great roast beef but the gem here was pasta sauce was delicious and there meat balls too.
Just another note they did have dark brown gravy and did accommodate me with gravy fries and that did make me happy.
Hands down the BEST pizza I had in northeast Philly!! All the other spots don't come close to being anywhere near as good as this pizza! I ordered gluten free (flat bread) with pepperoni, fresh garlic..etc (YES THEY PUT FRESH GARLIC AS A TOPPING!!! HUGE DIFFERENCE IT MAKES!!) I can't wait to try more foods from here, and I bet the regular dough is just as fresh. definitely authentic top grade pizza you will get here that is worth every dime! I'm telling all my friends and coming back for more soon!
An amazing place. Kid friendly and fresh food. Can't beat that. Plus they're open on Halloween with great specials. You know where I'm ordering from on Halloween.
We ordered delivery, so I haven't seen the inside of this place, but the food was good and the delivery was quick. The French fries were very good and the pizza was average. I wasn't impressed with the wrap I ordered, but the chicken in it was tasty. We got two free canolis with our order and they were delicious. The delivery driver was very kind. We will order here again.
Pizza is very tasty and crust is just right - not to thick and not too thin. The baked wings are so delicious - not dried out like so many other local pizza shops. Above average customer service.
Just moved from NE Philly. Owner, Mandy, is super nice. Always treats his customers like family. His pizza has a unique tasty sauce and is made with "real" mozzarella cheese. Whether you choose to top it with pepperoni, sweet pepper, mushrooms, or have it plain jane… you will not be disappointed.
I order here, primarily for takeout and - once in a blue moon - pick-up. The owner is very generous, genuinely cares. The (homemade) meatballs - and sauce! - are delicious!
Everything we've ordered from here is delicious, actually. We'll, except the tuna hoagie: too salty and too water-y. Otherwise, excellent food.
I rarely hand out 5 stars for any product or service. Johnny G's deserves 5-stars because it is, quite simply, the best takeout restaurant in the NE!
Johnny Pizza is the best ! Ive gone to a lot of pizza places before, but now I've found a home. The hand tossed is great as is the pan. The cheese steak and fries one of the best. Glad I found you Johnny !
Pizza is awesome. Nice and thin...sauce and cheese is delicious.. Meatballs are homemade..roast pork and roast beef are cooked to perfection just like MaMa used to make. If you enjoy old school South Philly food no need to drive 25 miles..Johnny is the Man..Staff friendly. Bone Apatite! !!

I’ve been craving a good cheesesteak for a while. I just didn’t want to get in my car to travel anywhere far to get there. I took my chances on this place & so happy I did. I ordered a small Hawaiian pizza for my wife I never liked that type of pizza but I taste hers & it was so good I’d order it for myself next time. Only problem with pizza was it was too saucy (for me) I personally don’t like a lot of sauce but thats easy to fix. Next time I’ll just order light sauce. Now for the steak omg it was very good. I was so mad on my last bite because it left me wanting more. I got a cheesesteak with extra cheese, fried onions, mayo, ketchup, salt, pepper, & garlic salt. That steak was PERFECT!!! Bread was so soft I’m telling you I can go on/on about it lol. Bottom line food was good no issues here. So I’ll definitely be ordering from that pizza place from now on
Huge plus you can order right from the yelp app (you cant trust people giving them your card number over the phone unfortunately) so that sealed the deal for me!
