Really love the food in this place. It’s the only place I found in US which has the sweet water noodle and it’s amazingly authentic! Other dishes we tried are good as well. Spicy and not too salty is plus! Will definitely visit here again.

I feel seen. The spice level is perfect. The authenticity. The dumplings are my go-to. I've only had takeout twice, but I definitely will be coming back for more. I'm eager to try the hot pot when I do decide to dine-in.

Really solid spot. Chef Z’s dumplings and the Dan Dan noodles were the stand out dishes for me. Also had the veggie spring rolls and tofu dry pot which were good.

My fav restaurant in the University City area. The Szechuan dishes are always on point but my favorite dish has been the dry noodles. It’s almost too spicy but just perfect for those who miss hometown foods like me:)

Met friends there and we ordered the buns and noodles. SO GOOD!! Traditional Chengdu food and absolutely delicious! I will definitely be there again. Recommend this restaurant!

A gem in Ucity! The service was friendly, food was great, and the open kitchen concept was an additional treat! The mild spice was just right and each dish was fragrant and exploding with flavor. Chef Z’s pork dumplings were the best we’ve had in the city! The chicken dry pot was perfectly prepared and presented. Lastly, the garlic purée on top of the cucumber appetizer was *chef’s kiss.* would 10/10 recommend!

I bookmarked this place because I wanted to try out some new Szechuan food. And since I’m around the area, my friend and I decided to try this place out. First impression of the place is, it’s small. Definitely a family owned business, one of those mom and pop shop kinda restaurants. The price seems slightly high for such a small store but probably because it’s close by or around University City. But overall, their food does taste pretty good, not bad if you into Szechuan and spicy food.
My husband and I particularly enjoyed the beef hot pot. It was delicious! Spicy but still so yummy! It was somewhat pricey for us when we saw the dish cost $25, but when the dish arrives, we realized there are clear noodles underneath all the veggies and beef. That one dish got a decent portion too. I had a spicy wonton appetizer and i am very full sharing the beef hot pot with my husband. If I do come back, most likely we will order that again.

I’m pretty obsessed with the food here. Everything is so genuinely spicy and delicious that it reminds me of all the good eats from my childhood. As a Sichuan native, I can attest that the flavors here are about as authentic as it gets outside of China. I’ve been here twice thus far and even though there are still many menu items I’ve yet to try, I’ve loved everything and always look forward to trying more. The ignite noodles are one of my favs! I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the mood for delicious, authentic Sichuan flavors.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! I enjoy every meal I purchase from Chengdu. It's great that you can now request the level of spiciness you desire. They prepare the most flavorful food.

I’m confused. Dining in, the food was so good the quality and flavor was great. Take out was horribly salty. Very unfortunate.
Tofu in garlic sauce, General Tdo fish, sautéed string beans, Dan Dan noodles with chicken, and scallion pancakes

Great dine in experience! Quick service, delicious, and (according to my Mom who lived in Chengdu for several years) really authentic food! The fish really impressed me with how crunchy it was, meaning it much have been freshly fried. Some dishes fell too sweet for my taste but all were perfectly and incredibly spicy. Not to mention the staff were really kind.

Really delicious Sichuan food. My partner said the garlic eggplant was the best eggplant she has had outside of China. The Mapo tofu was also really good. Lots of good vegetarian options and good portion sizes too. Ordered everything spicy which was the middle option and it felt like just the right amount of heat. Definitely want to go back and try more options. The Mala dry pot was great too and the added homemade noodles were perfect. Definitely a hidden gem of a place. Also order directly from their site to get a discount.

Favorite Schezuan food in university city!!! On par with Emei. The owners are lovely, I left my phone here and they were kind enough to stay back after their closing time to return it to me.
Highly recommend it!

Love this restaurant! The most authentic Szechuan Chinese restaurant in Philadelphia for a great price. I always come here with my family and friends; Chengdu is my first choice whenever I'm craving Chinese food.

Great Chinese cuisine. Food was great, comparable to Han Dynasty but with more traditional American Chinese dish options. I ordered the (mild spicy) chicken fried rice w/ chicken and broccoli. OH MY was it good! I will definitely order from here again!! And service was pretty good also.
