Bread Top House - Philadelphia - Photo album

2nd year getting the moon cakes for the Autumn Festival :) I am not Chinese or Asian at all but I embrace this holiday and the Chinese New Year!!!! The moon cakes in the plastic packaging with the egg are the best!
Our favorite was the egg tart. They had great selection of sweets
A sweet little bakery with so many treats to try. The sesame ball is one of my favorites, with a hint of red bean paste in the center. Most pastries are a ridiculously low price of $1.50. The hot milk tea is a brilliant concept -- Lipton tea brewed in hot milk.
Whenever I am craving a childhood delicacy, I head to bread top house. I love their pork buns, Dan tot, and bak tong goh (it’s a Chinese rice pudding thing). They are so friendly!!
I have been visiting this place since high school! 20 yrs later, happy to see it still exists. The taro bobba tea is made from real taro. It reminds me of fresh cake batter but not as sweet. It is deliciously filling. I usually take a few sips then wait til I've returned home ( or the hotel) and s
Such an amazing place! Super cheap and super friendly staff. They take cash or Venmo! Definitely recommend, is an absolute must for visitors!
The owners and workers at this place are so nice, I put an order in for pickup and they had everything ready and were so kind. It’s cash only which adds a little friction but I get it since their pastries are super affordable. This place has the best egg tarts in all of Chinatown, I’ve actually done
My absolute favorite place to go to for buns and pastries in Philadelphia. When I first moved to Philly, we stumbled upon this place and it has become a staple for my friends and me. We bring everyone that visits here and everyone has loved it. The owners and workers are so friendly. They remembere
friendly, great prices, and extremely delicious. Get the moon cake!
I'm happy to read from other reviews that they accept venmo, even though I happily paid in cash. They do not take credit/debit cards. Their baked buns are delicious and generously portioned with very reasonable prices. I enjoyed the bubble tea as well. I will certainly be returning many times!
I think my favorite place in Philadelphia and my go-to bakery for years now. The quality is remarkable across the board. I walk over an hour to get delicious buns, balls, pies, mooncakes, egg tarts, Swiss rolls, milk tea. I had looked forward to going back to Bread Top House for so long, and I think
$2.50 for a small order of pork congee with preserved eggs. Numerous savory pastries to choose from (the shrimp fried pastry is delish). And lots of mooncakes to enjoy year-round. This place is a gem! Definitely recommend.
Probably best bread shop left in Chinatown
I come here a lot, their egg tarts are always consistently good, their meat dumpling/meat filled fried mochi is good as well. The employees and owners are also nice!
Really yummy and fresh breads at fantastic prices. The individual packaging they use for each item is a nice touch! It's my favorite Asian bakery in Philly Chinatown!
Convenient location near the convention center with a diverse assortment of baked goods from mooncakes to Swiss rolls to different types of pineapple buns. Quality/taste is ok compared to Paris baguette style places but not bad either - pretty plain. I had the egg tarts and hot dog bun. Very afforda
Everything is so cheap and delicious. All the bread always seems so fresh. It's nothing fancy inside, but the food is really good. Cash only. I think they also take venmo.
