I love this place, I have been a customer for a long time and my favorite dish is their oxtail. But I most say this to the owner/management please don't put too much scotch bonnet, it is too spicy. This started not long ago because it was perfect before a bit spicy but not to a point where you don't taste the flavors only the spiciness. Lets check on this please because I will stop buying for sure because on my last two orders, I been just disappointed that it is so hot that I could not enjoy it as before.

Some of the best Jamaican food Iāve had in Philly! I agree with the other reviews that the service is nothing to write home about but the flavor is definitely way above average! I always get take-out from Jerk Hut when Iām in the area. Highly recommend for good flavorful Jamaican food!

Loved the jerk chicken, fried plantains, and Jamaican cabbage that comprised my lunch special! Portion size was generous and the food was prepared to perfection. Can't wait to try the next platter!

Delicious food!! Serving size was a good portion, able share a large oxtail meal between 2 people. Since no dining in, put a sign on the window stating that. Thereās space in front for 2-3 outdoor tables. At curbside pickup, use square or another payment method instead of taking customersā card to payment machine in the back.

Some of the best Jamaican Food Ive had in a long time. I originally wanted to go because one of my favorite movies (In Her Shoes) had some scenese shot there. Im so glad I did though! Its now one of my favorites in the city. You will not be disappointed if your into authentic Jamaican Food

I'm sure the ownership changed a few times since I first went to this place in the 2000. Back then it was top notch.
Nowadays it's still good but their jerk chicken is way too sweet .. The bad.
The good is it's still spicy jerk. Still a good place for authentic jamaican food in Philly.

Really great food here and even when you have to wait a long time for it, it's worth the wait. If you don't have the time to wait you can call in your order and pick it up. The last time I was here there was only one person working the front and one person cooking so the wait time was a little long. The food was amazing though so I forgive them. This would be a five star rating if there was no wait.

The food is absolutely delicious! Very traditional Jamaican food served up in a modern style. I will make two suggestions: 1. Please make the restrooms more accessible. A customer should never have to go outside, turn the corner and enter the restaurant from the back to use the restroom. 2. Although the service was nice, please find a way to communicate with the customer better.

A friend and I ate in their outside court. The service was average but the food made up for it service in a major way. I ordered the jerk chicken and my friend ordered the curry goat. The portions were hearty, the chicken from my meal offered an adequate mixture of spice and citrus. The rice was fluffy and the cabbage tender. I'd never tasted curry goat before but it was quite flavorful and thick. Both of our meals sat on banana leaves which heightened the flavor of the meal. It's a must visit, I know I'll be revisiting.

The number one asset at this excellent Jamaican restaurant was the wonderful waiter Justin. The food was exemplary! In the past the service has been wanting. Young Mr. Justin more than improved upon that. Great Jerk Chicken, great Jamaican! Life is truly amazing!

My husband ate here every day for 5 days! He truly loved it! Met all of his expectations! Excellent pineapple salsa and chips!! All the expected staples plus dessert. A bit more on the expensive side. Worth a visit if you are in the area. My hubby would patronize if ever in Philadelphia again

Well I personally don't understand all the negativity. No I haven't been in to eat but I've been getting take out for the last 6 months. I think it's great. Yea the little bones u randomly come across can chip a tooth. But I love the food. And the portions. Keep up ya heads Jamaican Hut. But I hope it's not that bad when. I visit the place.
