Stopped in for beer week. There is a rather wide selection. The Menu is full of IPAs & sours which I don’t care for, but I did find a nice cider that I enjoyed. I also had fried mozzarella which had a sweet honeyed flavor to it and lamb sausage which was zesty and flavorful.
The atmosphere, cider and beer list was excellent and unique. I was really happy to find a saisson that I have not been able to access in Canada available here. The food was also pretty tasty. I enjoyed the wings, flavoured in a cider/honey/siracha sauce. He had a burger pizza which he loved!
The service was not great. We sat for quite some time before being served and felt our server was less than pleasant. Hopefully, it was just a bad day.
Beer list is decent. Lamb merguez pizza is the star.
Update 12/27/18 after 12/21/18 visit for lunch:
Stand by the 4 star review from the last visit. Ordered a ton of food and a few beers. The beer list remains decent, if not out of this world.
Food is a little inconsistent, mainly from a seasoning perspective. The wings were not salted or peppered before the initial cook pre saucing, made them slightly bland. They also didn’t come out piping hot. Chicken/salami spicy pizza was good but missing some crunch in the crust. Lastly, an item addressed with the manager, the Brussels sprouts dish came out draped with two over cooked mushy tomato slices without any mention of this on the menu (at the time, apparently it was on there before). Would not have ordered this dish if we had known of this feature.
Unlikely to be back often
Food was good as well as drinks. The fries were the best. Service was ok. Nice pub with overall great experience. One suggestion when serving the flights instead of writing the drink have a small version of the drink menu so we know ingredients of what we are drinking.
Amazing place to enjoy great craft beers. If you are looking for a place with a great assortment of sour beers or farmhouse ales this is the place for you. Flights are very reasonable. 22.00 will get you a flight of all 8 sour and wild ales on the draft menu.
Nice environment, good for dates as well as gatherings. Phenomenal beer list from little known breweries across the US
Really tasty ciders for great happy hour prices. The chicken sandwich is yummy as well.
Great spot for interesting brews. Large draught system. Delicious pizza. Large bar & many high tops. Friendly staff
We sat at the bar. The bartender was very attentive and helped us quickly. He explained the menu and took our order as soon as we decided. They have an excellent selection of 8 different ciders on the menu. They also have about 20 different beers, including a number of different sours. We ordered the sausage and peppers pizza. It came out hot with a thin crust and good amount of toppings. It was not too spicy.
Before deciding on this place, we tried a couple other restaurants within walking distance. They all had long wait times to be seated. This place was not busy and we we're seated right away. It was not loud; my wife and I could have a conversation easily. Try it, I think you will like it. We did.
Great Craft Beer list ranging from Ciders, to IPAs, to Stouts and everywhere in between. What's on draft changes daily. Food is good but maybe a bit too fine tuned for appearance over taste. Homemade Pizza is thin and made to order. Staff are friendly though not always knowledgeable. Atmosphere is good both for a happy hour and a quiet date.
