Kalaya Llc - Philadelphia - Photo album

Had a later evening reservation with my husband for date night a few weeks ago and was blown away by the gorgeous ambiance of the restaurant before we even sat down. It was quite packed and required some shuffling around in the entryway to allow space for more customers to check in, but the staff at
Outstanding. Everything was delicious. Family style Thai dishes. Innovative cocktails. Great atmosphere - a large open space full of light. Service was excellent. Our server did a great job of helping us figure out how much to order and which dishes to order (while admitting that everything on the m
Had an amazing dinner at Kalaya. Lindsey, our waitress, was incredibly helpful and helped us ensure our selection of dishes had a nice blend of spice levels for everyone at the table. The flavors were vibrant and delicious, and all the staff were very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and cannot
It was a good experience to try this popular new place. It is pricey relatively but im sure its based on the unique style of their dishes. I have to admit my favorite was the cocktail! The lum yong is awesome! I wasn’t sure if it would be too creamy but wasn’t at all! You have to try! Food: We trie
Loved Kalaya. The atmosphere and ambiance with notes as chandeliers were a wonderful idea👍. The team was awesome in saving us from going down😅🤣🤣 (we were given yellow rice and oatmilk) to balance the spice. Food- Squid was very tasty with Giant Shrimp & glass noodles with cilantro... I apologize
It was a great experience to eat non-American Thai. Food was exciting and somewhat pretentious. Service could be better, especially with guidance of food choices, or offer a prefixed menu of Thai exploration. I would definitely try again as the food was very exciting.
Once you taste Thai food like this, you’ll never be able to do your local takeout again. Sensational chicken dumplings as well as tenderloin stir fry. Never had a dessert in our lives like we did with the shaved ice housing Thai iced tea and banana cream. Would not do the crab dish again - flavor wa
I really enjoyed my experience at Kalaya. The restaurant had a great vibe and our server was awesome. We loved the dumplings. Unfortunately, the main dishes were too spicy for me. I wish we could have adjusted the spice level when we ordered but that is not possible. Our server tried to give us tips
We were able to make a reservation a week in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant, it took a few minutes for us to be seated. Our waitress was amazing and walked us through every dish. We ordered the laab ped, gaeng pae, nam prik long rua. Our waitress mentioned that the laab ped and gaeng pa
First time coming here, immediately fell in love with the vibes, great atmosphere, very friendly and educated staff, they gave great recommendations. Loved the food, very spicy 🌶️ My mouth was burning in satisfaction and happiness. Everything was great but my favorite dish has to be the goong ob woo
Excellent food in an outrageously cool space. It reminded me of a very nice restaurant in Venice beach but only in the gutters of Philly. The food was so tasty and everything was spicy so definitely be prepared for that. But with great spice comes great flavor. Everything was worth getting especiall
Kalaya is hands down my favorite restaurant! I love everything about this place. The food, AMAZING. and the service, phenomenal. I’ve been here on multiple occasions and I always like to try something new each time. There are two dishes that are a MUST on top of trying something new, and that’s the
Managed to secure a reservation for lunch. The atmosphere is very bright and lively. The servers were knowledgeable and gave us recommendations for what to eat/drink. As i was in a group of 3, we each tried the respective cocktails. The ariya is basically a mimosa with a twang, the yaya is kind of l
The service was the highlight, very friendly and good suggestions. The cocktails were very tasty. Food was good and had me analyzing the flavors constantly. Reservations even for single bar seats but I got lucky I think. This place is always full and active.
My husband and I saw Kalaya on Somebody feed Phil. We decided to try it out over the weekend while we were in Philly, and they did not disappoint. In every bite from the appetizers to the main course and the amazing Duran sticky rice for desserts, I could taste the love. Amazing job, Chef Chutati
Amazing Thai food, best I've ever had. The service was amazing, extremely attentive and nice service. The chef stopped by at some point and we asked to have more food haha. Have to recommend the Pu Pad Pong Karee (I'm personally not that good at spice and this wasn't much spicy at all) and save room
Excellent all around. Phenomenal food, unique cocktails and incredible atmosphere. Our group of 6 made an reservation for 5 on Sunday. We booked a few weeks in advance but the place was packed the night of. Our server did a fantastic job with portion suggestions from appetizers to deserts. Highly re
Food was excellent! FLAVORFUL is the best way to describe it. We had a party of 6 and asked them to make the selections for us and they picked the best dishes! Some favorites were the cod dumplings, rice cakes, crab stir fry and the prawns. The owner walked around all night checking in and making su
