Great service. Enjoyed the meal and the company. Not rushed when we asked to watch the Belmont race that got a late start. Thank you.
They have the BEST pizza... Hands down
Best Pizza1. We have eaten several different offerings from their menu. We have been patronizing them for over 30 years first at their Bustleton Ave and now we have to go out of our way to bring home dinner from Welsh Rd. Their pizza is my favorite and we have tried many varieties, but we have also eaten many of their sandwhiches salads and entrees. Mozarella sticks are to die for.Thick and Crisp! Can't say enough about the food here.
One of my top five favorite pizzas. I can't say much more-only ever had their pizza.
Are used to come here years ago. For some odd reason I stopped coming and have no idea why. We started coming back about two weeks ago and we’ve been back a total of three times. My son has fallen in love with the pizza! I have been trying different things each time. The first time I had a burger which was delicious, the second time I had an appetizer sampler which included wings, poppers, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks. The chicken tenders were cooked too long and were like leather, But I will say the mozzarella was amazing. Tonight I got the other sampler which included ribs, shrimp, chicken cutlet over french fries. The menu did state that it was covered in barbecue sauce… But that is an understatement. The food was very good, but it was literally drowning in barbecue sauce. Quite frankly the barbecue sauce wasn’t good either. I don’t know whether it is homemade or it is some offbrand because it’s definitely not Kraft, Bull’s Eye, or Sweet Baby Ray’s. If I were to order this again, I would definitely ask for the barbecue sauce to be on the side. I would also like to make the suggestion that when they cook the meats for this dish, that they season them with at least salt pepper and garlic. The ribs Were literally melt in your mouth tender… But the only extra flavor that was there was the barbecue sauce. Same with the shrimp. All the meats on their own were blah, but the barbecue sauce put a weird spin on everything and made the fries all soggy. I would like to think that there’s a better way to execute this sampler. I know you guys can do it! We definitely want to come back and try some of the different burgers, and we definitely want to try the pizza for ourselves. Only my son has been getting it but he can’t say enough about it, and he is very picky. My husband tried the cheesesteak tonight. He said it was nice and juicy and the role was also nice as well. He had a similar experience with the meat though… He said the steak was just basically cooked steak without any seasoning on it like salt pepper garlic etc. we actually do love the atmosphere here and the waiters and waitresses are very nice and chatty. We want to keep coming back so please if you could… Keep the quality of your food consistent and take the flavor of your meats up a notch or two.
The pizza was really good! We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza 🍕 each slice was heavy with big pieces of chicken breast covered with spicy hot sauce. Most pizza places are skimpy with their toppings gearo's is not there was tons on chicken on that pie! They also have fancy desserts that you would not expect in a pizza place. The service was very good 👍 i have not been there in a while and i really need to remind myself how good their food is and go there more often
We picked up pizza and fries at Gearo's today; it was really great in taste, quantity, and price.
The bar looked nice, We definitely plan on going back for a sit-in experience.
I was looking for a good pizza joint near Bustleton and Welsh. Went to Gearo's. My son Martin really loved the pepperoni pizza. What was particularly enjoyable was the way they made the dough which is so crucial.
There is ample parking. It is a joint with two sections, one with large screens for folks interested in enjoying sports while eating centered around a square bar where you can order your draft beer and another section for quiet private dining.
The decor is nice and pleasant with lots of hanging plants. The ambience is festive. We went on a Saturday night and it didn't seem loud at all.
I'm giving it 4 stars because I give 4 stars for something very good. I reserve 5 stars for an exceptionally good place. Gearo's was very good and totally worth your bang for buck.
Ps; they have a lot of options other than pizza. Check the menu card photo.
I've been going here for 30 years. Love the pizza because it's very unique. Their chicken parm is the best. Their staff is very nice. We ate outside in their heated patio shown in the photo. They offer inside dining now.
Best fried mozzarella around!!
They have been closed for 3 days when I drove by I swore their sign said after 51 years were closing????….
Stopped in after an appointment in the area. Sat at the bar. Attentive bar tender, good food, good price. I'd return
The pizza and stromboli are still worthwhile picks. But as others have mentioned, the burgers are a no-go. Mine was nearly raw today and this wasn’t the first time - which is pretty disappointing coming from a long time customer.
Everything we have had here is way good. For many years. Margherita pizza, Stromboli, chicken Alfredo all wow! They did a fun birthday surprise for our son. Great service and food.
Food was excellent. Mozzarella slabs are the best I've had in Philly. It's hard to find a place that doesn't use frozen tubes with no cheese left. They are a must have! Pizza as usual was perfect. Always coming through here when I'm in Philly.
