The food was great, the coffee was great but the employee ruined the experience. We entered the coffee shop and I could already hear the employee giving attitude to the people in front of us. I tried to be nice, but we were met with the same and so were the people behind us. It appeared as if anything we wanted was an incredible chore for her. After reading a few other reviews it seems this has been going on for a while. Overall I won’t be back, which is too bad because the location and food was great.
Update: We thought we’d give it another try. This time it was great service and great food. No complaints at all and the location is perfect.
I ate the most delicious egg and cheese sandwich in multi grain bread I've ever tasted. The coffee was just how I wanted it. The location was spectacular --in the middle of picture-perfect Philadelphia streets. And the price is cheaper than I thought it would be!
David, the owner, is fantastic and very helpful! The staff are amazing and super personable! I love the vibe and the seltzer selection! Possibly, one of my new favorite places in Philly!
I liked it because its close to city hall. Great place to hang out on your own or with friends! You can enjoy the music and food or charge your phone and look at the city scenery. The staff here is friendly& helpful. As I've been here twice, I reccomend it to anyone who likes cafes or bars!😀😊
We didn’t try the food yet but Nikki/Nicki (sorry I forgot to ask how it’s spelled!) at the bar was beyond fantastic. Friendly, incredibly fast and efficient, with personality for years! 10/10 service, will be coming back for coffee and the food. Pastries look wonderful.
I really like the atmosphere, good coffee, and nice interior. This is a good place to take kids and just take in the view. The drinks and foods were all tasty thanks to Nicole… I hope I spelled it correctly. She is the reason why I come back again and again. Thee best barista I’ve ever met. She made my son and my drinks to perfection. He still talks about it to this day. I went one day when she was not there and the service was horrible from the time we walked in. The barista had an horrible attitude. We left as soon as we felt her energy. Tell Nicole to work everyday PLEASE. If you’re up for great drinks, laughs, and great service, only visit when Nicole is there. If she’s not…. RUN!
The food is great café style fare. The chicken salad sandwich was deeeelish. The coffee was great. As a non-dairy person, I also appreciated that they have oat milk (as well as almond and soy). The pastries looked really good too but didn’t get to try them on my first visit.
The atmosphere and location cannot be beat! Came on a cold day in March when the doors were still closed but it looks like the entire place is open to the outside in the summer. Have to come back for that!
Lastly, the lady who took our order and prepared the food and coffee was supper friendly and quick. 5 stars for great experience on every level!
Stopped in for a coffee and left laughing and having such a wonderful time with the barista. Thank you for the coffee and the laugh. Great spot. Would definitely come back.
Great Coffee! The Cold Brew was excellent! The egg in one of our sandwiches was cold and the employees were not super friendly!
