Bistro St. Tropez is a cute little restaurant overlooking the Schuylkill River and 30th Street Station. The atmosphere is nice and the wait staff was pleasant and attentive. By far the best deal on the menu is the Stimulus Package Tasting Menu. For only $28 you get four courses that complement each other and leave you full at the end of the meal. The well seasoned and flavorful soups are a nice way to start the meal. The lamb there is cooked perfectly, a nice tender medium rare. Dessert, however, is by far the best course. All of the chocolate desserts are wonderful. They're not too rich or too sweet, the perfect way to end a nice meal looking out over the river.

FANTASTIC
This restaurant deserve more attention. The restaurant has a great vibe and the view of the museum and the river is absolutely gorgeous! The dining has a great energy, tables have fresh flowers, nice silverware, like it should be!
The waiters are friendly and the food is straight to the point…. no gimmick!
Love it!

Been at this restaurant many times for lunch and have always liked it. Today the restaurant offered a three-course meal for $20 as part of restaurant week. All three courses were superb. The shrimp first course surprised me with its wonderful taste. The second course, parmesan-crusted chicken on a mushroom risotto, was both beautiful and delicious. The risotto was the best I've ever had; it had a rich mushroom flavor. And the dessert was a pleasingly tart sorbet with thin and slightly crunchy almond cookies. Everything including the service was perfect.

The food is great. The service was knowledgable without being intrusive!
We truly enjoyed the lavender crusted rack of lamb as well as the diver scallops which both of these dishes were perfectly cooked and prepared.
Nice wine list. Oh my only complaint will be tthe cocktail sacre coeur was a little sweet to my taste but my wife enjoyed it.
I will definitely go back.
We also love the view over the river and museum !

Must be the best kept secret in Philadelphia! The setting was excellent beautiful views of the city. The food was an adventure in wonderful taste and the staff, in addition to being well informed on the wines and foods being offered, were friendly and attentive. Didn't feel rushed or ignored at any time. I have dined in restaurants around the world and this one definitely goes on my list of places to revisit. Thanks guys! .

The food was spectacular! I had just went for the first time today with my school's FHS and just absolutely loved it! I fell in love with the risotto and salmon. The service there is great as well and very kind. All in all, I would love to go there again one day. :)

OMG, the lamb and escargot are heaven! Bistro St. Tropez has a decent wine selection as well. Well worth the time. Check them out as they always have a special.

One of my favorite places in the city. The views are amazing, the food great, and it is never overcrowded. The staff is also super friendly.

We took advantage of Philadelphia's Restaurant Week to give Bistro St. Tropez a try and I have been raving about this place ever since! From the wonderful hostesses who were so accommodating (we were a little late for our reservation) to the top-notch and well informed wait staff, we were made to feel comfortable right away. The menu was quite diverse for the special promotion, and our party ordered many of the different choices so we could taste everything. And we were not disappointed. From the amuse bouche to the appetisers to our main course and the sinful desserts, the entire experience was amazing. The chef made his way to our table during the meal to make sure everything was satisfactory, I wish I could have told him in French just how wonderful everything was since English didn't do it justice.
I recommend it to anyone looking for a change from the usual restaurant fair (Italian, Chinese, Italian), make the effort to expand your palette and make a reservation at Bistro St. Tropez.

The pesto was good... And the wine! Of course the food was good as well but the pesto and wine had a lasting impression.

Went for Restaurant Week...amazing food and staff. Got a four course meal for $35 plus a glass of wine for $8.50. First course was a cucumber gazpacho in a little shot glass, just to clean the palette. Second course - escargot. And unless someone explained to you what escargot was, you NEVER would have guessed it. Third course - slow braised lamb shank. The flavors came together so wonderfully...and ice cream puff pastries for dessert.

What a nice surprise! The food was delicious and the service was great. The Chef made an appearance at our table. I am so glad I saw him on Good Day Philadelphia. It was worth the trip into the city. I highly recommend the Cassoulet.
