Really unique spot and a definite must to visit. The store is really charming and the staff explained the menu really well. They recommended the pistachio ice cream and it was so creamy and had lots of pieces of pistachios in it. You could tell it was homemade and high quality ingredients.A bit pricy for a small but the small was massive. They are making Ben Franklin proud

First day or our trip we passed by Franklin's and wanted to stop but the line was LONG and we didn't have the time. Over the course of a couple days through tours and locals, Franklins was the place to go for some amazing old fashioned ice cream and treats. We finally made it on our last day in town before heading to the airport and was not disappointed one bit, The charm and of the building and the friendly staff made this a fun visit. The wife had a pumpkin spice ice cream and I went with a Cherry Lime Rickey. Sorry no pics of treats, forgot to take photos.

Super tasty ice ream with loads of choices. Old world charm and friendly service. The vanilla caramel with sea salt hit the spot!

Ice cream is good. It’s definitely shareable.. My husband and I shared. It was pretty good!! I love the “cup” it comes in.

Cool local spot for unique ice cream creations and old fashioned soda fountain drinks. Also sell a limited selection of baked goods from their partners a few doors down at Shane Confectionary. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Stopped by for some ice cream while visiting Philadelphia. There was a small line outside the door, but it moved quickly. There's a menu outside, so I used this time to decide what flavors I wanted. There's a wide range of ice cream desserts from ice cream (cups/cones), sundaes, floats, ice cream sandwiches, etc... After 10 minutes, was at the counter and ordered the medium cup with Peanut Butter ice cream and the Caramelized Banana ice cream topped with their whipped cream. After ordering, you wait outside away from the door to prevent everyone crowding the door. Most waited across the street or further away from the exit door. They have a loud speaker which you'll hear your name called when ready. Within about 5 minutes, my order was ready. There were 2 large scoops under the large amount of whipped cream. The ice cream was delicious as it tasted homemade. It was very soft, creamy, and just melted in your mouth. Both flavors were very rich and not too sweet. There's no tables, so most just stood around or sat on the curb to eat their ice cream. I will definitely come back and probably try a sundae or a shake. I just ordered the scoops this time as I wanted to taste the true taste of the ice cream without any other flavors on top.

Fantastic ice cream served in your choice of cone or adorable take out container. The staff is friendly, location was convenient, and the service was quick. Lots of variety in flavor, and incredibly delicious tasting ice cream. This was certainly a treat, pun intended, after a long day of touring the city.

Loved the place! Tried hot fudge sundae and it was superb! Hot fudge sundae: The same is served with your choice of two scoops of ice cream with hot fudge! We chose the rocky road and chocolate fudge ice cream but the order got mixed up and we got sea salt caramel instead of chocolate fudge! Nevertheless it was super yum and the fudge was really nice! The portion size was quite big and recommend sharing between two people if you’re having it as dessert! Only challenge was there was no place to sit and hence you would have to stand!

An absolute must! The ice cream is really good (especially Banana highly recommended!) and it is served in a kind of box that reminds you of Chinese food. Attention ( in a positive way), the portions are very big - if you take a medium box with two flavors you don't need lunch or dinner afterwards. Store is still partly in original condition - beautiful.

This place is so delicious that we went to days in a row! The nice thing is that if you go back within 24 hour time period, you will get 10% off your next purchase! They have both dairy and nondairy options, and the nondairy options are coconut milk-based, so you don’t have to worry if you don’t do soy.
