My husband and I went here for restaraunt week and we loved the experience! Service was fantastic, food came out timely and tasted absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

This was a new restaurant venture for us and we were welcomed immediately upon arrival. We ordered CAPRESE Fresh Mozzarella, Sliced Tomatoes, whole Oregano, Basil, Olive Oil and Grilled Argentine Homemade Sausage for starters. CAPRESE was fantastically fresh and rich in flavor. The sausage was served hot in a pan with a side of sourdough bread and both were deliciously satisfying. The main course was a tasty OJO DE BIFE Boneless Angus Rib-Eye Steak. We shared a ribeye cooked to order and received it with a wonderful aromatic flavor.
Dessert delighted every sense with PANQUEQUES CON DULCE DE LECHE two warm crepes rolled and filled w/dulce de leche. To our pleasure we heard Ice Cream was available and added both chocolate and strawberry to the order. Dessert arrived with a side of dulce de leche and fresh strawberry slices.
Coffee was prepared for our table and we enjoyed it. We felt right at home with the fantastic Malbec Argentine Steakhouse staff. We were not pressured to hurry and food was perfectly timed per course. This is a definite must for visitors and repeat customers have good times here as well. #LetsGuide Philadelphia Foodies

I would definitely come back.
Their happy hour menu is EXCELLENT and the hours are very good over the weekend.
Food: GOOD. I had high expectations. So the food was good. The empanadas and the ceviche were excellent. Highly recommended!
Drinks: GOOD. Their Happy Hour wine is perfect.
Service: GOOD. I had much more fun sitting at the bar stools than in the dining area. We felt a bit ignored at times.
Overall: I would come back.

Wow everything was very delicious. We came for the restaurant week specials but ended up choosing from the regular menu. The empanadas were flaky and delicious some of best. The dipping sauce,a mix of olive oil and seasoning paired perfectly with all the different fillings. Dinner was the Seafood pasta amazing. 5 Stars 🌟

Very authentic restaurant, the vibe is great. For me it was like been somewhere in Europe (Spain or Italy). The food is amazing, delicious. It’s located in old town, so interface and design is old and awesome. Highly recommend this place 👍

Dined here for the first time during the Sept 2022 Restaurant Week and glad we chose this place.
We arrived a little early for our reservation so had to wait a little bit for them to get us a table since we wanted to sit inside (it was surprisingly chilly that night). We didn't have to wait too long for them to take us to our table. The place isn't huge, but very cozy with an intimate vibe perfect for a date night. Again, our waiter came over pretty quickly to provide us with the menus and get our drink orders. The drinks were made very well - good balance of enough alcohol without it feeling over powering. For the food - we loved & enjoyed each course. With it being restaurant week, we had three courses. Appetizers, he got the Chorizo & I ordered the Empanadas; entrees were Steak & Salmon; then we got the Tres Leches and Flan for dessert. Each menu item was served hot, good portion size and tasted really good.
Really wonderful spot with great menu options. Highly recommend dining there and we would go back for sure.

Good happy hour for wine and sangria. Smaller indoor area and outside seating. They even have the road closed off for it which is kind of neat.
The salads on the menu are single portion. But the ensalada de Higos was quite tasty. The dried figs almost seem like they are prepared in house rather than purchased prepackaged.
The steaks were not super thick, but they were incredibly tasty and that chimichurri sauce was killer! I didn’t have to send it back for being over cooked which is a big deal for me. I would definitely order the ribeye here again.
Ravioli has fresh made pasta, it was so good that no one that ordered it was willing to share :(
Or I was too busy enjoying my steak and I didn’t ask quick enough.
Each dessert came with a healthy dollop of caramel sauce which kinda blew our minds.
The filling in the crepes was pretty amazing. Chocolate mixed with the caramel sauce. Very tasty.
The tres leches was definitely not a sharing size portion, but still very tasty.
And we had some ice cream to top it off.
The quality of the food here is excellent. It’s not cheap, but the price is worth the experience even if work is not paying. I would come back with the team or clients.
Only catch is it does look a little small inside so it might get crowded during peak times. Still might be worth it.

Romantic ambiance restaurant. Good for a date. But also great if you're craving a steak. Ordered the 10oz skirt steak, and it was really good. Beef empanadas were good. The salad was a bit dry. Overall good restaurant.

I had a wonderful time at Malbec Argentine Steakhouse.
We sat outside on a lovely evening during Center City Restaurant Week 2022. From beginning to the very end, the experience was exquisite and absolutely pleasant. Our servers (one was being trained) were a delight. They were attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was DELICIOUS! The empanadas were soft and very flavorful, the skirt steak was juicy and cooked to my taste and the flan was creamy.
The chimichurri is EVERYTHING!
I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good steak or anyone wishing to try new flavors.

Malbec welcomes you the moment you step into the restaurant. I recommend the calamari for appetizers as it was the tastiest dish of calamari I’ve had in recent memory. Their new seasonal drink Puerto Guava kept me asking for more, while I enjoyed the entraña. Great atmosphere, great food, would recommend to anyone.

Omg everything was great from the food to the service and the vibe of the restaurant! Our waitress Analise was great, very friendly and attentive! We went for restaurant week and the prefix menu had pretty good options to choose from

Steaks were fantastic, however my friend and I both agreed that the optional side sauces were a little over priced. The sauces were good, but didn't think they were worth the extra cost. Cocktails were good, but not the best I've had in Philly. All around though, really good food. Service was also impressively fast. Will definitely be back!

First time at Malbec, friendly staff, great atmosphere and the food was good! I choose the dinner course from restaurant week menu the only thing that was not that good was the Rabas(fried calamari) I personally LOVE fried calamari but that one was the worst that I ever eat, was dry and bad seasoned! Besides this was a great experience but it’s not a place that I want to come back.

It’s been awhile since I had a steak and Malbec delivered! Other stop during restaurant week, the prefix meal had some great choices. The two signature drinks they offered were perfect for the meal. We ordered the empanada with beef and the chorizo and man were they good. The empanada tasted “clean”, not too salty and the oil they used, you did not feel full afterward. The chorizo had a great flavor. We followed that with steaks and I got mine on the rarer side. Cooked exactly how I wanted it and the juices, the taste, the texture were amazing. Finishing off the meal we got flan and a tres leche cake. I am super picky about flan and this was not over the top sweet, or drenched in syrup, it was just right. As for the tres leche cake, we’ve even pickier and that cake was thee perfect level of moist. Not too sweet again, and the taste was just right. Highly recommend during restaurant week or out side of it!

Empanadas and the filet mignon were delicious! And the chimichurri sauce was flavorful. Definitely will be visiting again!

The food here is really good, fresh, and tasty. Wyatt, our server, was super friendly and helpful. I also loved the cozy atmosphere.
