Best Pizza EVER!
No wonder Pete’s pizza is famous - it’s the best pizza ever!!!
We visited Pete’s Famous Pizza after visiting the Penitentiary and it was our favourite meal of the whole holiday. We ordered a jumbo pizza and they really wasn’t lying!! It was huge! Although we only left one slice (probably about 2 or 3 of a normal size pizza haha).
The people who work in there are really lovely too and will do anything to help you! I’d go back to Philadelphia just for this alone.

On a recent takeout kind of a night, I stumbled upon Pete's Famous Pizza on GrubHub . What exactly caught my eye? The goliath grinders, which house a multitude of heart-clogging items, including mozzarella sticks, steak, chicken fingers, fries, and cheese. Essentially Primanti Brother's on steroids, the description of the grinder was highly reminiscent of the gut-busting 'Fat Beach' sandwich from the Grease Trucks by Rutgers University in NJ. Yes, my knowledge of calorie clogging meals extends to places I've never actually been to. An added bonus? I appreciated that their takeout bags showcase the fact that they use delicious Amoroso's rolls. Ultimate Goliath Grinder ($9.25) Chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, french fries, steak, bacon, pizza cheese, pizza sauce This grinder is indeed a behemoth-sized mess. The chicken fingers are crisply fried and juicy. The mozzarella sticks have girth, with a mess of mozzarella covering creamy french fries, smoky bacon, and steak. The pizza sauce helps to brighten up the grinder a bit, which is encased by a crusty Amoroso's roll. Still, this is clearly not a light dish. Expect to take a nap right after and definitely don't expect to be able to run a marathon right after. Cheese Steak ($6.25) Sharp provolone, fried onions The cheese steak is decently seasoned and contains juicy steak, funky provolone, and a nice amount of onions. The roll serves as a perfect vehicle to house the ingredients. A decent iteration, this is at least a B+ or A- in my book. Could do with a bit more meat and cheese.
Ordered a pizza and got the second one free, this is the first pizza store I know that actually make they pizza right, I also ordered an Italian cheese steak and they made it perfectly, best pizza store in Philly
The food is delicious. The employees are nice and the restaurant is well kept. I’d refer this to many people. The pizza is amazing but the Buffalo chicken Stromboli is to die for! But overall such a great restaurant.
Great Philly Cheesesteak near the Philadelphia Museum of Art (near Rocky Statue). Would definitely recommend for a great lunch!
Great food, friendly staff and good service. I would go here again and I recommend. I had the chicken philly with fried pickles. Superb.
Order 5 pizza on game night and 50 wing it was at us in 30 min maybe 40 but it was all on point number one spot maybe number two around that way oh yea eagles win that night also so great night for everyone

Food was tasty and quickly served. We ordered Philly Cheese Steaks and we're satisfied. Large, full of steak, and filling. Atmosphere is basic as it looks like delivery service is kicking!
The food is absolutely amazing and delicious. Everyone including the driver was very polite and order was hot, fresh and on time. For my first time me ording this was an excellent experience!!! Truly well deserved 5 stars
Everything was really good. Definitely in my Top 3 for cheesesteaks and this was my first time ever going there. The lady who waited on amd served us was very welcoming and friendly.
Possibly the best pizza shop in Fairmount. Tasty sauce, crust, and cheese. Great pizza all-around. Waits can get long during busy hours so order online or phone and pickup.
One of my new favorite pizza places in the city! I ordered the Holy Roller, and I was pleasantly surprised. The dough tasted very fresh and had a great thick and crunchy crust. The ingredients were fresh, too, and they don’t skimp on the toppings. I would definitely recommend getting food here.
