This is just like we left it. Same great staff, same grill, same methods. A few updates to the menu, but if I'm not mistaken, the prices are the same as they were four years ago. Perfectly chopped, cooked and seasoned meat. Amoroso roll kisses the grill, but doesn't get toasted. WORLD CLASS onions.
The day time staff is great. The hoagie girl during the day tho, she has a bit of an attitude, mostly just stands around watching the cashier and wrapper doing all the work. The cashier who works during the day, she is great. Pleasant, great customer service, always helping, and has a smile on her f
It is a great place for a cheese steak, there is on street parking, and it is pretty fast pace, and there will be a line. The workers are great and sandwiches are Good, it is in a rough area but it is worth the drive. They have beautiful fresh steak, and there is outside security and they are very
I've been waiting years for this place to open. I tried a cheesesteak hoagie from Dalessandro's. They put the lettuce & tomatoes on top so you know when I went to eat it, it wad all falling off. Couldn't find a decent Cheesesteak in Philly. I couldnt. I came to west Philly from germantown in 1988, I
2nd time having a cheesesteak from Jim's West. My husband, Cousin Cortez Johnson is the co- owner of this establishment. Food & Customer Service is Awesome. Will be trying a chicken cheesesteak & hoagie soon, InShallah. Even though the wait outside is long, it's well worth the wait. IMO
Consistently great steaks! If you like extra spicy just ask. The spice definitely creeps up on you!
Steak was just ok, nothing special... service was unorganized and slow, line was long and moved slow...no seating area ..place has potential just needs some organizing...not the worst steak but not the best
Oh my goodness, my cheesteak was fantastic! You get to watch your sandwich being made and that visual with the aroma will send your senses on overload. When we finally settled into taste mode, the experience started off with the perfectly soft baked roll. This foundation allowed the tender and ribey
One of the great cheesesteak places is back! Jim's West! I grew up on these! It's a take out place. Simple menu. With or without cheese. lol! Hoagies too. The sandwiches are flavorful with a good portion of meat! Come on in and get it!
Went with my son to our family's favorite cheesesteak shop on Christmas Eve -- Tradition. Greeted by old-time staff and I was happy to be home! Food tastes just as good as it did before they closed a few years ago!!! Was quite happy with my sammich topped with provolone, fried onions, hot peppers
Food is excellent. What beats the food is the customer service. Speed in receiving food was on time. Went in was not there more than 10 minutes and that was for five steaks Steaks are tasty, succulent and meat quality is above par. Thank you for opening Jim's west again.
The OG Jim’s is back and in full effect! The line moves fast and is there for a reason!!! Stop on by and get you a real philly cheesesteak!!!
Cheese steaks were good in my opinion. I had a mushroom steak with wiz. My only knock is old head making the steaks takes your order too and his attitude stinks. Everyone else was great though.
