From the moment my wife and I stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance of the restaurant was intimate and cozy, perfect for a romantic evening out. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, providing excellent recommendations and answering any questions we had.
The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded all of our expectations. Every dish was executed with precision and the flavors were unique and satisfying. The menu offered a fantastic variety of options, ensuring that there was something for everyone.
We particularly enjoyed the salmon, grilled octopus, lamb which were cooked to perfection.
Overall, we had an unforgettable experience at Twenty Manning and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Philadelphia. The outstanding service, delectable menu, and cozy ambiance make this restaurant a must-visit!
We had dinner at the bar. The food was phenomenal. Inventive, flavorful, fresh. The service was attentive and prompt. This is an undiscovered neighborhood jewel, and I'm shocked it wasn't more crowded than it was when we visited (not that I'm complaining; the noise level was superb). Highly recommend trying!
The place has a great ambience, full bar and neon signage. Defenitely cozy and trendy, great spot for a date.
We didn't have a reservation but were lucky to get seated immediately as it gets very busy. Our service was pleasant and attentive.
We ordered 5 small plates and Dorado. Dolma and beets were simply fantastic. We enjoyed everything we tried. All dished were served were served with little time in between- just enough to clear your pallet and discuss flavors.
We definitely will be back and will be bringing friends over.
I recently got back from vacation to the Middle East and was questioning my choice of going to a Middle Eastern place in Philly, feeling it could never compare.....I was wrong! Everything we got was sooo flavorful and delicious. My favorite was the grilled eggplant mezze.
They have a great happy hour too with drink and food specials that are so delicious!!
The flavors here are 😩😩😩 is it a little expensive and small portions? Sure, but the drinks have an incredible depth to them. I mean who would have thought to put cumin in a gin and tonic? It was SO. GOOD.
My favorite on the menu was the octopus. Is it worth the price? I don't know, who am I to say what's worth your taste buds?
Vibes are great if a little loud, would come again
The food tasted great but the portion size wasn't that good. Costed us $51/person without dessert. Ambience was nice and atmosphere was cosy!
Always a great vibe! It's one of those places where it's a great option for a business meeting, catching up with friends or a romantic dinner. Their menu has something for everyone. The wedge salad is excellent. I'm not a fan of bleu cheese but this dish is irresistible. Another winner is Rack of Lamb as well as the bone-in pork chop. I wish they would bring back the wedge fries! They were delicious and unique! The shoestring fries are just blah. Also, the old recipe for the half-baked cookie was perfect. The new iteration of this classic dessert is too thick. It's almost cake-like. Hopefully the new owners are listening :-) Otherwise this is a great spot!
Went for happy hour because it’s just down the block from where I’m staying. Ordered the boureka, falafel, pita chips with hummus and muhammara, and smoked carrots. Everything was so delicious but I could eat those boureka all day, every day!
The meal was terrific. This place plays around with middle-eastern spices and new techniques without going into the territory of seeming like a "fusion" or a Europeanized experience. This is definitely middle-eastern flavors and spices with combination techniques that feel innovative and yet still comforting. The crispy dolma are memorable, and the fired eggplant was smokey with complex flavors. The fish (chard) was perfectly cooked, with a luxurious sauce that didn't overwhelm the flavors of the fish, but definitely gave it a kick.
The vibe on the Manning street side outside was relaxed and cosmopolitan. It felt a bit like sitting on a street in downtown Cairo and eating a high-quality meal while people wandered past. We only saw one car on the street in the two hours we were there on a Saturday evening.
Regarding service, there were no errors, and the pacing of the meal was quite good. It would have been nice for the server to check in a couple of more times, and we would definitely have ordered more if he had, but we were one of the only parties outside. Overall, though, the service was reliable and responsive. A wonderful evening with exciting flavors and an unforgettable ambiance.
The elevator operator at One Liberty Observation Deck suggested this place. He said it was his favorite. My cousin and I loved it. Food is outstanding. Service is great!
