Small establishment in South Philly which has obviously been local favorite for a decade. Wait can be long; be sure to have all members of your party present.
Portions are enormous and tasty. Staff is brisk, friendly, and attentive. I personally enjoy the left-leaning politics of this spot.
Brunch at MG Diner is a delight. The service was friendly & quick. You might want to call ahead to check the seating situation. This place is popular! There's some tables inside near the counter stools, and a few more tables outdoors as you walk in. The menu contains your classic breakfast & lunch items as well as their unique twist to a few entrées. The biscuits come highly recommended. They're amazing, almost like a cake. Every breakfast entree was excellently prepared and tasted superb. You will get plenty for your money. One meal lasts the day.
we love this place. we love the signs. we love the solid food, homemade ketchup & hot sauce, hot coffee, great portions. the biscuit is a must-have, the potatoes are perfection, we LOVE this place.

The food was great, little hole in the wall, but was the best egg benedict I had.Food was delicious.A lot of homemade stuff. Be sure to get a biscuit with their especial sauces. The owner was so nice. And is for sure a labor of love for her.b
Great food. Home cooked and fresh. The menu changes often and everything is so good. I'm not a big ketchup fan but their homemade ketchup is absolutely delicious!! Anything you eat there is good. It's small so it can get crowded really quickly. Going on a weekend expect to wait. Weekends are always packed. Worth the wait. I live in Cheltenham but my wife and I make it a point to visit Morning Glory at least twice a year. 👍
Great breakfast! Homemade jams, biscuits are moist and tasty. Steak cooked to perfection as were the sunnyside eggs. Even the homemade whipped cream for hot chocolate and waffles was great. Will be back next visit!
I love diners but it always amazing to see these special diners that are churning out unique items & making things from Scratch . Do not come here without testing out the homemade biscuits!
A cute and cozy diner with a very friendly staff. You can't go wrong here! I ordered a frittata with prosciutto, brie and green apple. I also had grits and a house-made biscuit. Everything was delicious!!! Morning Glory even makes their own condiments. I sampled their blueberry sauce, hot sauce and ketchup. I can't wait to visit this diner again!
