Review Chima Steakhouse - Philadelphia

One of the best restaurants I've visited. They wouldn't let you out before you were super full. Service was excellent and the meat kept coming. My boyfriend and I had a great time during Thanksgiving dinner at Chima. Would come back. Must tries: lamb chops, grilled pineapple, Irish coffee

If you love great service, a nice atmosphere and an array of delicious options, then you have to make your way to Chima. There is plenty to choose from even if you're not a big meat eater. I love the salmon, shrimp, grilled pineapple and more.....and the best part is the salad bar which is so much more than lettuce. And not to mention the yummy appetizers that are brought out even before your main food. Everything is delicious. Make sure to ask for the best server there, Jonas! He is very attentive with a great personality. There is so much to try and I can't wait to go back so I can taste the other side! We also did valet parking which is $16.

Very nice place for date night. The shrimp and the pineapple was so was so good and so juicy. I love all of the fixings you can get at the salad bar to elevate the steak, shrimp, lamb or chicken.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner for 136 people last weekend at Chima. The evening was flawless. The only thing better than the food - which was outstanding - was the staff. They know how to manage a large group. We received so many glowing comments from our guests about the food, the staff and the venue. Michelle and her team were absolutely outstanding and made the evening a breeze for me. And, for many months prior to the actual dinner, I worked with Aline to plan the evening. She is truly the best. Patient, friendly, very knowledgeable and always found a away to satisfy any question, concern or request. She is an absolute pleasure to work with. Obviously a dinner for 136 people is not inexpensive but it was definitely money well spent. Anyone looking for a fun venue with great food and service for a large event should definitely choose Chima!

I had a really great evening at this restaurant. The service and atmosphere was great. The unlimited options of meat was so filling and tasty. The only thing I didn’t care for to much was the salad bar:( It was nice just not to my cup of tea:/ However, it was definitely an experience and I would go again:)

The experience was amazing! The food was amazing, the staff was amazing, the servers were amazing, everything was fantastic. My favorites of the night were the pineapple and the fried bananas. The house special is in the running for my favorite part of the meal. When I return to Philly, Chima's will definitely be on my list. It was the best and I had the absolute greatest time.

Went to celebrate my birthday month (they gave me a free dinner and dessert, I love them for that). We had happy hour drinks at the bar while waiting for our table and the bartender was friendly. I wish they offered the happy hour at the dinner table but oh well. The food was good, as usual and our waitress was nice.

First time at chima for my birthday, we normally go to another Brazilian steakhouse in the city but wanted to try something new and this is now our favorite! The food was delicious and never stopped coming. They didn’t skimp on any cuts of meat, the sides were always being replenished, and our waitress gabby was wonderful and attentive. We were too full to pick a dessert but she brought us a free cheesecake anyway for my birthday. What a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to come back!!

Incredible, totally delicious! The best cold salad buffet in town! The meats are tasty and well seasoned!

My first visit to the restaurant was enjoyable, the staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxing and the buffet style food was delicious and the assortment of meats were cooked to perfection. I would recommend visiting this restaurant at least once in your lifetime!! Thank You, Chima for the enjoyable birthday dinner experience!

Honestly, the food was good. The service was okay but definitely not worth the price. Went for a special night but could have got better food, service an ambiance for half the price. I'm kind of disappointed because we used to go here once a year. Hopefully, they improve 🤞like they used to be.

The food was amazing. The salad bar could of had a little more variety but the cuts of meat was very flavorful. Can't wait to go back. The service was on point. We had an issue with a sauce and a manager came right over and fixed the issue.

Made a visit to this establishment for a birthday celebration and it was perfect 🤩. The host seated us in preferred seating and we were welcomed and received a high level of service from our waiter. He was very attentive, friendly and went above and beyond the norm. As the the food, It was fantastic 👌🏽. My favorite was the prime rib and shrimp 🍤. When I’m back in the area I’ll definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

Our Chima experience was quite delightful. It was our first time there New Year’s Eve. Our servers were James and Brian. Both were on point and quick with our drinks and making our dining experience pleasurable. The salad bar was phenomenal. With that being said, then came our dinner which included cuts of meat, pork, chicken and fish served by gauchos. They brought the lower cuts out first. Sausage, sirloin, chicken, and pork. After you eat for a little while, then the better cuts arrived. Fillet mignon, ribeye, etc.. Let me add one additional thing, the gauchos would cut as much as you would like! I enjoyed everything but the lamb. Then came dessert. My wife ordered chocolate lava cake. Big mistake, it took almost 30 mins. I ordered the Apple strudel, It was ok, not great. Now the cons. Everything is Alla carte including tea and coffee, no big deal. They also included a 18 percent gratuity to our bill with 5 people. I liked the service and did tip additional. Our reservation was for 5:30. We got seated at 6. The valet could not park our car when we arrived because “it was to congested with people inside and there could be a 45 min wait when we leave.” Really? I call bullshit. I parked the car around the corner and froze my ass off to and from the garage. The last thing that bothered me immensely, Chima is a nice restaurant. They should have some type of dress code, I am not talking suit and tie. Perhaps casual nice. It’s not Tony Lukes or Pat steaks, but some folks dressed like it was. There you have it. The good, the bad and the ugly.

Always without a doubt the best steak I’ve ever had. This place is amazing. And they have the best “salad bar” out of any Brazilian steakhouse I’ve been to. I put that in quotes because it’s honestly more like a buffet than a salad bar. But don’t fill up on it, tell the guy with the Picanha to stay close and get the first cut!

My niece made reservation for restaurant week and my birthday on january 14th. Once we were seated, we were then told that the $35 restaurant week price did not include all types of meat or dessert. The costs would be $50. We agreed to do the $35. We were showed a drink menu with pictures of the drinks, we ordered 3 drinks based on what we saw and the review our waiter gave. When they were brought they were given in flute glasses! Not what the picture showed. You are ordering under false pretense. Mashed potatoes were so thin they could be used as a sauce. I asked for the manager and was told by mgmt that is the way they make their mashed potatoes. $35 plus tax and no dessert included in the meal. We were a table of six but were were charged for 8, and when we spoke to our waiter, he could not explain anything. Had to get the manager again. Had not been to Chimas in years, will never go back or recommend them.

This was the first time I have been there and it was for my birthday and it lived up to all the hype. I have tasted all the meat available and they all were so good except for the pork ribs, they wasn’t bad but they didn’t knock the socks off my feet. The beef ribs and steaks were my favorites.

The experience was horrible. Our waiter Quittin was the best. The manager and the hostess need a class in customer service. Horrible. Work (Dept of Homeland Security) dinner party of nine & we were treated horrible. Restaurant week, never again

I went here last night with my husband to celebrate our anniversary and I’m so happy that we chose this place. We had never been to a Brazilian steakhouse so it was a nice treat. Our waiter was great about explaining how everything worked there as we were clueless lol. The salad bar was amazing, every cut of meat that we tried was delicious and the service was great! I loved how if you wanted something cooked different or for them to bring back more of a certain meat, they came back with what you wanted quickly. It was an overall wonderful experience.

Wonderful experience for my fiancé & I!! This plac really does the Brazilian Steak House concept right!! Meats were cooked to perfection, wine list was great! The manager Marcos gave the whole night a special touch by stopping by and touching our table. A wonderful host. Staff was very friendly & enthusiastic! We will definitely be back soon!

Absolutely delicious! The ambiance is magnificent. The decor is modern and swanky and it really was a nice experience dining there. Go hungry so you can really get your moneys worth!

This was my first and probably last time at Chima. I was there Sunday for restaurant week to celebrate a my Boyfriends mother’s Birthday and our experience wasn’t what We hoped for it to be. For starters the sides that were given to us were terrible, the salad bar was ok but there wasn’t much to choose from, the drinks were overpriced and falsely advertised, and the service was not worth $40 of gratuity; we barley seen our server, when we did he claimed that he was new and couldn’t help us. Not to mention that there were two separate menus to choose from for restaurant week. One was for $35 w/o dessert and fewer selections of meat and one for $50 which is for more meat selections with dessert. This was suppose to be a special occasion but turn out to be a bad experience.

I had the worst experience for Valentine's Day. 9:30 reservations didn't get seated until 45 mins later. Then after 20 mins sitting at our table, a server NEVER came over....needless to say we left. Not once did I see a server come to the section of the restaurant that we were seated in. It was chaotic and very noisy. I really wanted to like this place but I didn't at all.

Everything from beginning to end was amazing. Staff, food, atmosphere all top notch. First time there but definitely not my last. Thank you for a great night.

I really enjoyed myself, first time there, salad bar was great everything was nice and fresh. I don't eat pork but there was a lot of other meats I could choose from, like bake salmon, lamb chops, chicken, and the bake pineapple was DELISH, I must make a trip there again. Service was GREAAAAAAAAAT
