As a professional Bellydance or I of course am attracted to anything with beautiful Arabic interiors. This place does not disappoint. It has all the beauty and charm of Café La Maude in Northern liberties with the unique Arabic twist that just has not happened in Philly yet. I cannot wait for the restaurant to open! Their pastries were on point and the treats and gifts in the market look great :-)

So the owners of my fav brunch place from sun Cafe La Maude, helped co open a new place Suraya! Market and Cafe opened Tuesday and restaurant opens in January! Check out their page for the most beautiful decor I’ve ever seen and quality foods (like the Lebanese chai latte below topped with pistachio (not to mention the beautiful Turkish mug)!) These people know how to run a food business in Philly! Thanks Gabi and Nathalie for keeping us posted! 😘 surayaphilly

We enjoyed the chef's menu, which I highly recommend! So many different things to try, a nice sized portion (not too big or small), and such a great vibe. The cocktails are also good, and they have mocktails. We left with a to-go bag too, which was kindly packed by the staff. Great experience, and I look forward to going back!

Good quality food. Would recommend trying the brunch tasting menu in a group. The different kinds of hummus was well balanced in the different types of flavors. Pastry basket had a variety of flavors and was worth the price. Each entree was relatively delicious as well. The branzino was well salted and had a crispy exterior. The lamb kebab tasted like ground beef/meat, while the chicken kebab was somewhat dry. Both met expectations for what I would expect from kebabs.

Nice place with great lebanese food in Fish town. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have little cafe inside if you would like to get some coffee and some bakery items. We have tried the Taste of Suraya which comes with on the table platter and a entree item each guest. We have orederd the Shish Taouk (chicken)and Halabi Kebab(mutton). The platter was refreshing with different choices of spreads, and the best was Halabi kebab, the minced meat along with the spices was yummy. The Charred veggies complemented the Kebabs so well. The Lebanese chai latte was light and comforting. The Atmosphere of this place was good. It is quite expensive place(100$ for Two) , so given that I would not visit this place again and again. But definitely you can try it once.

I was visiting Philadelphia and met a friend from town who recommended this Lebanese restaurant for lunch. From outside you would never imagine how beautiful the interior is. The decor and style is truly amazing. They have a beautiful patio in the rear i was told is opened for dinner. Our server was friendly and helpful. I ordered a chicken wrap which was delicious. My friend ordered a Flatbread with an egg on top and he loved it. The restaurant also has a separate Cafe where you can order pastries and coffee. The prices were very reasonable. Overall, quite outstanding.

Five stars for the flavorful and creative food that came in large portions, the attentive and friendly service, and the hip atmosphere that made this dining experience one of the best of the year. We had a seat at the chefs table which was extra engaging and fun watching the various foods be prepared. We loved the char on the oyster mushroom and lamb kebabs. The Za’atar bread was out of this world. Spreads and sides were amazing appetizers with the fresh pita. Definitely get the Turkish coffee tiramisu… so unique, light and delicious. We felt such good energy here and will definitely be coming back.

It was fabulous dinner!! Atmosphere was good and all the food was amazing in open kitchen. All the dishes were cooked perfectly. We loved their fresh hummous, baba ganoush, muhammara, labneh & taboule with freshly backed pita bread. Especially brazino and fried cauliflowers were extraordinary. Our server recommended perfect dessert wine with the desserts. Everything was just amazing!!! I wish this restaurant was in NYC.

This restaurant was on my list for so long, and I’m sad the I took so long to make a reservation. My first time I decided to take the taste menu and for sure was totally worth, everything was delicious. The restaurant is so pretty and have a super friendly staff.

This has to be, by far, one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The brunch was amazing, every single option was delicious. Best of all was definitely the pastries. So worth it.

We got the fasolia bi fatar, samke harra, abu sayf, and samke al malouf as well as the batata harra and warak enab. For appetizers, they each came with unlimited freshly baked Pita bread, the fluffiest softest arabic bread I've ever had. The warak enab honestly weren't that special, the rice didn't seem to have been cooked long enough as it was a bit crumbly when I tried to eat it. The lemon yogurt and barberries, however, were so good I virtually wiped the plate clean with the bread. For the potatoes, true to their word, they were a bit heated. Not spicy enough to hurt or make your nose run, but enough to be felt. I really enjoyed these but wished they cut them up smaller so it was easier to share and pick up with the bread. My fasolia bi fatar was surprisingly good. The mushrooms were wonderfully charred, it seemed as though they only had a bit of lemon juice before they were grilled. But they weren't all that special compared to the beans. These beans were the perfect blend of savory creamy saucy goodness. Wish they put more so you can actually eat it with the mushrooms. The watercress and "salad" are there for garnish, nothing substantial. I felt like as a whole, it was a good meal. But the portion sizes were a bit small and the menu is a little misleading. I wish that they had more vegetarian entre options though. I would go again 8/10

Beautiful dining experience; the food was delicious, service was outstanding, and the space and ambience was perfect in their outdoor courtyard! We loved the lamb kebabs, baba ganoush, and the perfectly crispy and seasoned fries. Service staff were always attentive and really took care of us!
