My husband and I came in for dinner for our anniversary. The restaurant is very cozy. The staff is on top of there game! Our server had great recommendations about the menu. We had the chef‘s tasting and it was amazing. We were able to try a little bit of everything on the menu it was well worth it! Everything we tried had flavor and was very enjoyable. Excellent night!! We will definitely be back!!
This is by far my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. I've been here 6 or 7 times. The brussel sprouts and the black cod rice are incredible. The katsudon is my favorite entree by far. The cocktails are all fresh and innovative, and all of the staff treat you very well. It is always busy, every night of the week. Definitely suggest a reservation for dinner. I've stopped in during the daytime for a coffee as well, and am impressed by their iced coffee. Same price as Starbucks or Saxbys or whatever corner coffee shop you'll find in center city, but the decor really sets them apart from all of the rest.
a fantastic restaurant for a romantic or special occasion night out. we ate downstairs at the sushi bar and the atmosphere was gorgeous! the staff was also amazing and the food was delicious. my cocktail was one of the best i have ever had. order a lot of options if you can.
Food was very good, service was very good and beyond polite and knowledgeable. Servers maintained pleasant conversation’s even though they were busy. The restaurant is very dimly lit. While I understand the mood that is being set for the dining room it is quite difficult to read off menus that are incredibly small and size 8 font, this was fixed with some extra candles so that was great. Staff were super nice and I enjoyed the food overall. Different variations of foods I am familiar with and most importantly opened my palette to new flavor combinations. High marks also for accommodating our time frame.
Do yourself a favor and go! And ask for Michael to be your server. He not only took the best care of us, but gave us excellent recommendations for food and sake.

Attentive and considerate service and overall good food that is certainly worth the price point. I wish the place was less dark and had more lights because I had a difficult time seeing things and walking in the restaurant, but it was a nice atmosphere. Food portion was also good.
Double knot was 🔥! Food was amazing, service was incredible, just all around a fun place. Some of the best sashimi I've ever had and I love sashimi! The scallops (pictured) was one of the best dishes I've ever had.
It was funny, we went to the 'sister restaurant' the night before, without knowing double knot was right next door and we're in for a pleasant surprise!
My fiance and I went here for our anniversary dinner. At first we were a little confused as to where the restaurant was at but had finally found it next to the large plants outside.
The atmosphere is beautiful! And I did not know how big it really was.
We did the chefs tasting menu and we trusted the chefs to choose what we should eat. I’m thinking it wouldn’t be enough to fill me up, but by the 5th to 6th dish we were getting full. The chefs tasting menu included 10 selections from the menu and soft serve. I also had asked for an additional side which was the duck scrapple bao. It was melt in your mouth experience! So delicious!
To end the night, they served us a caramel miso soft serve with a candle and a side of champagne to celebrate our anniversary.
The ambiance at Double Knot is like dining in the hull of an ancient Japanese fishing boat. All dishes here are tapas style portions, and they are full of amazing flavor. We had the 10 course tasting menu. It was amazing and highly recommend. Just a tip: for those who have a hard time seeing in the dark, just know that the lighting is quite dark. It adds to the atmosphere, but may be useful

Great happy hour. Line starts to form around 3:45pm, make sure to get there early. Everything was delicious, but the crispy brussel sprouts were so salty, I couldn’t even eat them.
Adorable Staff serving exceptionally high quality creative sushi dishes. Delicious! Excellent vibe. Sit at the bar and enjoy the experience.
