A hidden gem! I couldn’t recommend this place enough. We stopped in prior to a wedding for a quick bite and everything to do with it was perfect. The food we ate here was cooked to perfection, and hit the exact spice levels we asked for! The service was an amazing balance of attentiveness and providing space for us to enjoy the food and the people we were with. And the atmosphere was such a great balance of chill vibes with a very cool clean look! 5 stars!

One of my favorite spots in center city. Food is tasty and the atmosphere is very quaint. Everyone is like family and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. You got to try the Trinidadian style Chinese chicken and rice 🥰

My server was great, I started off with the pholourie so yummy, I ordered the curry goat which was flavorful and buss up shot with a glass of sorrel all of my favorites.

This "new" location is much better suited to the easy going Trini "liming" culture being fostered at Flambo. Right in the gayborhood, reservations on date night are probably recommended. Convenient parking on the street and an neighboring lot. There's a small bar near the main door that has standard tropical drinks, top shelf liquor and Caribbean beers (Carib and Red Stripe). The main dining area has several high top and regular tables that accommodate two to eight easily. Warm, subtle decor hints at the tropics but the music that draws you in is 90% Trinidad and Tobago. The staff is attentive and willing to answer questions about the menu. Many of the dishes are made to order which distinguishes Flambo from the other Trinbagonian restaurants in the area. This takes a little time but the happy hour "menu " comes out faster. The happy hour is typical with half priced drinks and appetizers. The pholourie is very pale but the taste is there even with the one tamarind sauce. The pepper sauce is hot! The made to order rotis are silky, a good size and excellent for scooping up the curried meats and veggies. The Chinese food is flat out too salty. All of it. The fried rice, the chicken, the pork belly cutters. The other dishes are pretty good. Philadelphia needs a nice sit-down place for Trinbagonian foods. Flambo is that place.

Stopped in for a quick bite before heading out for the evening. What a wonderful surprise. Everything was delicious! Didn't stray far from the appetizer menu - Coconut shrimp and roast pork belly were perfect. Would highly recommend.

Celebrated my birthday here and I was so happy 🥹 Loveeeeeeeeeeeeed this experience 💗 The owner was so personable and the staff are very attentive. The jerk wings are authentic and drinks were delicious. I’m from Washington DC and never had any Caribbean experience like this before 🤤 I ordered the Oxtail and red beans and rice plus the roti. This dinner was amazing , very tender and flavorful with all the right ingredients. I would recommend coming here 10/10 for sure!!!!!!!!! Quick service and lit fresh drinks can’t go wrong here trust me. Plus they have brunch on Sunday’s it’s the whole package here 🎊 I can’t wait to come back ‼️

I had the pleasure of dining at Flambo Caribbean/Indian Restaurant in Center City yesterday, and it was truly a culinary delight. From the moment we stepped in, the experience was exceptional. To start, I ordered the oxtails, which arrived in a flavorful gravy alongside perfectly cooked beans and rice. The rich and savory combination of the oxtails and the accompanying sides was an absolute treat for the taste buds. My dining companion opted for the curry goat, a fragrant dish accompanied by curry chickpeas and rice. Both dishes were generously portioned and showcased the restaurant's commitment to authentic flavors. What truly stood out, however, was the complimentary buss-up-shot that accompanied our meals. This traditional Caribbean flatbread added a delightful texture to our dining experience, complementing the main courses perfectly. For drinks, we indulged in the sorrel and mango lassi. The sorrel had a refreshing tanginess, while the mango lassi was a sweet and creamy delight. These beverages paired seamlessly with our meals and added an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. Our waiter deserves special mention for his exceptional service. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, he elevated our dining experience. To our surprise and delight, he even treated us to a free appetizer, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction. The atmosphere at Flambo strikes a perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. The ambiance is inviting, making it an ideal spot for both casual gatherings and special occasions. The extensive menu offers a wide variety of options, ensuring there's something for every palate. What particularly caught my attention was the fantastic deal they offer—$55 per person for 2 appetizers, 1 starter, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and a free roti or buss-up-shot. This not only provides great value but also allows patrons to explore the diverse offerings on the menu. In conclusion, Flambo Caribbean/Indian Restaurant exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The impeccable food, delightful drinks, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere make it a standout dining destination. I wholeheartedly give Flambo a solid 5-star rating and look forward to returning to savor more of their delectable offerings.

Really a nice gem we stumbled upon. I like their happy hour window, the cocktails and bar seemed a bit more high end. Though we didn't try! Every part of the food was delicious. Pakora, Roti, Curry Mussels, Butter Chicken, Oxtail, and corn soup. Oxtail and the mussels by far my favorite! One thing too. They were extremely short staffed and the cook was apparently the waiter and he WAS AMAZING. I hope he gets help the he needs soon. He made our night and gave good little pointers about how to enjoy some of the things we ordered together
