They had excellent service and very welcoming personnel! With a party of eight, we arrived here during restaurant week. Six of the people in our group arrived exactly in time, and the other two arrived early time. They will wait to bring you to the table until the rest of the party has arrived. We were met with a warm greeting and were shown to our tables quickly after arriving. At the high top, we were seated directly in front of the Buddha. There was a unique vegetarian menu during Restaurant Week, which was perfect for our two vegetarian members and every course was excellent! Every meal had a lovely flavor and aroma, and the presentation of the food was impeccable. Without a doubt, we would come again!

Been many times and will continue to go. Amazing restaurant with great ambiance. Food has always been on point. From appetizers to dessert everything was delicious. This time we went for restaurant week and i must say I’ve been to other restaurants during restaurant week where they try to skimp on portions or deals but this restaurant i feel like had a great 3 course special with pretty decent portions. I actually ate my entire entree and dessert which never happens. It’s really nice for just about any occasion. Does get crowded quick and tables are a bit small but we enjoyed. Only issue i had was the fruit in my drink still having the sticker on it. I didnt even notice until after to be honest so it was what it was but that was my only issue the entire night that wasn’t a big deal at all. Stuff happens.

We came to Philly to celebrate our anniversary and visited Buddakan for dinner one night. The food was delightful! The best part is that it was all chinese dishes that we already love and recognize except 1000 times better! Our server recommended we share everything since the dishes were so large, definitely a good recommendation. We will for sure be coming back.

I can’t even lie everything was on point. The manager checked in on us several times. The waiter went above & beyond. & The food was delicious. What else can I ask for? Loved the Char Grilled Aged Beef & Mushroom potstickers. The General Tso dumplings were to die for. Trio of Sorbet with all coconut highly recommended… Sparks will fly. It was a great night with a nice ambience.

It was raining out this evening, so we stepped into this restaurant, not knowing what to expect. It was a little pricey but we enjoyed and the food was outstanding. We sat at the bar. Alex was our server/bartender thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Highly recommended Buddakan! The food and drinks are amazing. To start, we loved the pork belly bao buns and the edamame dumplings. The bao buns are perfect pillows of goodness and the pork belly is melt-in-your mouth delicious. The edamame dumplings are a must have. The truffle broth they are served in is divine and the dumplings are the best I've ever had. For dinner, I highly recommend the Char Grilled Aged Beef along with the Korean Beef Fried Rice & Chinese Eggplant. Not only are these dishes delicious, but the presentation is amazing. We LOVED the pile of Szechuan fries served along with the beef. Finally, you must get the donuts to end the night. They are so addicting and the dipping sauces that accompanied them are a perfect compliment. The sparkler served with them is also a fun touch that I always love. Their drinks are also a must get - from their zen-gria to their espresso martini, you can't go wrong with their selection! Finally, the service is excellent. Every time I've been, each server has been extremely attentive and truly made the meal an experience. Also, I appreciate the manager always stopping by each table to make sure everything is ok.

Delicious, tasty food, one of the best meals I've eaten in Old City, warm and inviting atmosphere. We sat near the Buddha, which was cool. Very accommodating to my situation with my broken ankle and boot. Lovely wait staff.

Never had a bad meal here. Make sure you get the calamari salad and lamb chops!!! Great for big parties or just a night out on the town!

This place never ever disappoints. My husband and I have been coming here for years and we always have a delicious meal. We love the aged beef, pork tenderloin, calamari salad and the sea bass which melts in your mouth! Honestly, you can’t go wrong with whatever you decide to order. This is our favorite restaurant. We love the ambience and the service is impeccable. Greg (the GM) and Anish (the best server) are always so personable, thoughtful and accommodating.
