Jake's Restaurant

Jake's is a charming, rustic restaurant that reminded us of the National Park lodges out West. We had the best seat in the house as we were in the main dining room facing a roaring fireplace. There were a few secluded dining areas adjacent to the bar suited for more private service, but we enjoyed the atmosphere in the bigger room. Social distancing of the tables was well done without removing so much furniture as to make it look abandoned as some restaurants have done. The menu was extensive featuring steaks and seafood, but the prices were more what you would find in Las Vegas or New York. The cocktails were well made but almost miniature considering the glass was almost filled with a giant ice ball. It hurts to pay $12 when you can buy a fifth for a few bucks more. Our server, Adam, was very cordial and professional and took time to chat with us. Our New York Strip was very good as were our onion strings and bacon wrapped water chestnuts. Jake's is not quite on par with a Ruth's Chris steak house but the prices are just as high. But we enjoyed our evening as we don't mind paying a little extra for the atmosphere that we gravitate towards.

My husband and I had dinner at Jake's Restaurant for New Year's Eve. We had a great experience and the food was delicious. I had the 6 oz. filet mignon with double baked potatoes and onion rings. My husband had the 14 oz. filet mignon with bone in, double baked potatoes, and creamed spinach. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and our waitress was very nice. She was the right balance of attentive without being overly inquisitive. The atmosphere was great as well. The restaurant has a rustic decor and it was classy, yet relaxing and enjoyable. We would definitely go back and recommend Jake's Restaurant to others.

I’d do a no star if I could. Brought my parents here a month ago to celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary and everything was terrible except the bacon wrapped water chestnuts. French onion soup was not even close to being made the right way and it was cold, the corn chowder was cold, the steaks were tough and were not cooked properly. Nothing in included with your meal. Not even bread. Only a potato. Everything is a up charge. Made reservations a week ahead of time and got seated in the bar area and not the dining room. The drinks are way over priced too. My bill was $240 with tip for three people with one drink each and desert. That is so ridiculous that I’ll never be back. Even complained and nothing was done. This place used to be good but it a total joke now.
