The 1911 Restaurant never disappoints! The meals are well planned and perfectly executed. All of the flavors and ingredients are unique and fresh. I work in aviation and have had the privilege of eating at restaurants all over the world, and the 1911 Restaurant is truly one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had.

What a quaint place. We celebrated our parent's 25th anniversary and this was a perfect place for it. The atmosphere is charming and the views from the deck are fantastic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. We had the wagyu steak, which was cooked perfectly, the pork chops, and the kid's BLT. I recommend getting the three-course meal. It is worth it. They even allowed us to bring a cake to celebrate and cut and served it to us. I would recommend this place to anyone. I would say parking can be tricky, but it is manageable.

Very delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. We had fantastic cocktails to start - try the Old Fashioned if you’re a bourbon fan - and then enjoyed a terrific meal. The fish was the stand out entree, it was perfectly prepared. The dining room was tastefully decorated for the holidays, and there was wonderful live music being performed. It was a great experience.

When we arrived at the Terrace Inn we were excited to see the beautiful choices on the menus. We decided right then that we were going for the Kobe beef dinner offering for our dinner. It was more delicious then what we were dreaming of all day. Eating in the dining room was very special, a real 5 star experience. It was a beautiful room, there was an opportunity to dine on the Terrace, but we chose the indoor option. All the food was super and we were served by well trained personnel that were very friendly and described the servings well as we decided what we would have. The meal was brought to us at a perfect pace to enjoy our food. If in that area again, even if I wasn't staying overnight I would hope to eat in this very special dining room. It is in whole a peaceful, and quaint experience.

Fantastic food! We ordered the prix fixe three course menu. Started with two delicious salads. I had the pork chop. Very moist and tender, and the spicing was perfect—delicious flavor, but didn’t overwhelm the meat. And the server recommended a great wine to go with it. Would definitely go back!

We have been staying at the Terrace Inn and eating at the 1911 Restaurant for years ... spending holidays, anniversaries etc. We have been pleasantly delighted with the menu at 1911. My wife loves the planked white fish and I really enjoy the breast of duck which I order anytime it is on the menu. Also the salads are great and the servers are really efficient and friendly. We try to go there anytime we have the opportunity. Try it ... you'll like it!

Super cute and friendly restaurant. Food arrived quickly and hot. Pizza was gluten free, which is rare in rural towns in Michigan. Fresh veggies were used, tasty crust. Enough to take home and eat the next day.
Friendly waitress was very attentive. We were grateful to find a restaurant that could cater to all of our needs.

My husband and I were there for just one night this past weekend... it was not enough! What an amazing place, loved the ambience, the peacefulness, the beauty of the area, the charm of the Inn.. so lovely! The staff was super friendly and the food was GREAT! The best whitefish AND pizza we've ever had and the breakfast was very yummy! We hope to make it back one day!

The atmosphere was beautiful. Our server was ok. The food tasted great BUT, it took almost two hours for us to receive the food. We we're there prior to a concert, as many others were. Two tables of 6 and 8 had to leave before their food showed up and they were there before us. Two tables who came in after us we're served and we were told ours took longer because my husband ordered the single pork chop...I could have gone to the store, baked it and had it eaten within an hour. Won't be back and won't be recommending it to others.

Thanks to everyone who made my party possible. (I have loved the Terrace Inn ever since my Mom and I stayed there when I was little. One summer, for 2 weeks, we commandeered several rooms on the top floor.) Not knowing how many would come, the Terrace Inn's Pizza Night worked out perfectly––not too big or too small. Every Sunday, he owner (Mo) serves his specialty gourmet pizzas. Delicious! (My bother ordered their planked Whitefish.) Now our parents and their friends (and hopefully my husband and me) hope to be gathering at the Terrace Inn for New Years Eve! They always have a jazz band and ball room dancing. We are hoping family and friends will once again join us.

Delicious breakfast, comfortable accommodations, great atmosphere, and exceptional staff! Mo, Patty, and Belinda were nothing short of awesome! This was our first visit but most definitely won’t be our last. We appreciated Belinda making our sleigh ride happen and for the treats she sent home with me! There is no better place to stay in Petoskey, and it was especially refreshing not to have any children running around on a needed romantic getaway weekend.

What a beautiful place! We’ve lived in this area for years and have never been to the Terrace Inn. I can’t believe we’ve never been here before. We came for the Little Traverse Bay Parafest and I have to thank all the staff, waitstaff, cooks, Chef, and everyone who participated in making the event a success and making us feel so at home. Everyone was so friendly and always had huge smiles on their faces.Although we didn’t get the opportunity to stay over for the weekend, we will defiantly be back to come and stay. The historical feel of the place is amazing and made us feel like we stepped back in time. A Big Thank you to the Bumps in the night paranormal team and John and Jackie Cassidy.
