After the pandemic they seem to be trying to find their footing and niche, which is really sad because they have been an amazing butcher shop with really friendly staff. As of today the store was closed and you can't order meats online anymore and not much communication about it. Keeping my fingers crossed that they're ok and they'll open again...

Stopped by on my way through.
Their Jamon Royal grab and go sandwiche was the best sandwich I’ve had in a few years. Pickled veggies with ham, a smoky cheese and good quality mustard and Mayo on baguette.
The counter staff was super helpful in picking out a dry aged chuck eye steak for my wife’s birthday Dinner.
Pricing was very reasonable for the quality.

I am the sandwich king. I think Thizzle makes The best sandwiches in the north bay. I travel to eat them. I know businesses are short staffed during the pandemic but please update your website/hours/social media. I’ve traveled a few times to Thizzle and have come out empty handed. Just a few tweaks/sandwich of the day announcements and your sandos will be flying off the shelves. Thank me later!

I LOVE Thistle Meats. Not only do they have incredible, local products...their customer service is phenomenal. Whether your first time in the shop or a long time customer, they're always ready to offer suggestions, help figure out the best meat and quantity for dinner or parties, and they'll even pull a slab of meat out to get you your cut if there's none in the case! They've especially gone above and beyond with their customer service during COVID-era...curbside pick-up, delivery, call-ahead ordering...they're the best!

Love, love, love this very special butcher shop. I feel so fortunate to have them so close by. I eat all of my meat raw, so have a very refined palate when it comes to quality, flavor, and freshness. As a former vegetarian, minimizing suffering is a big priority for me, and all of their meat comes from animals that were raised on pastures with sunshine and healthy feed. I have tried a variety of cuts and so far I have not been disappointed. The pork belly is phenomenal, and the ground beef is the best I've ever had. They grind it to order, and you can specify fat content and grind size (I usually get 40% fat, largest grind setting--so fresh and delicious). The employees are always friendly and down to earth, and don't even flinch when I ask for a sample, as conventional butcher departments usually do. I just wish they accepted EBT, otherwise I'd do all my meat shopping there!
