Seared - Petaluma

We just had our work Xmas party there tonight. Our drinks were really good. The appetizers were delicious. And our dinner was outstanding. I had the Halibut. Cooked to perfection Side dishes were really good. Amazing flavor & presentation with all the entrees. The dessert was to die for. Creme brûlée is one of the best I’ve ever had. The donuts with ice cream was pretty amazing!! And the server???? Wow! Talk about top notch. John was incredible. Didn’t write a thing down. Remembered all our orders with specific requests. We were blown away. He made our party extra, extra special.

Friends treated me to a birthday dinner last Saturday night. Having been there before, we requested as quiet a table as possible. We arrived on time and were immediately seated at a quiet place towards the front. Oue meals were so good that we asked to see the chefs to thank them for a perfect dinner. Our server, Geraldo and helpers, were attentive and professional. It made my evening perfection.

First time there. Raining..Friday nite..parking was bad..lots of restaurant in downtown petaluma..few good ones too..was kinda if noisy..crowded at least we had a table by window was not as bad as in middle..there us a happy hour bar separated from restaurant..we had some happy hour dishes...portions were small esp. Shrimp kung pao...we're good..steak rin eye my son had was tasty and tender Our bill with some drinks tip and tax was 200.00..service was ok..was my 2 sons birthday..could had given a small complmentay on the house dessert..but did not made note of it in reservations and told server..oh well..did not have dessert there..overall food was good..I worked in restaurant before we usually give something for birthdays..nowadays all about money..I usually do not go out much to eat..prices just high....nut for steal occasion I would..seems crowded and busy ..noisy..I just wanted to try it..plus I was hungry..bread was good from bakery across street..I do not need to go back. Will try other places..

We had a surprise birthday dinner for a great friend at Seared. Staff was awesome! We had a table set and waiting when we arrived. A couple people had a hard time with finding parking but the staff didn't make the rest of us wait for them and seated us promptly, (and we ordered cocktails while waiting.). Service was perfect, We never had to wait for anything and the waiter was always available when we needed another cocktail or dish. I would recommend Seared for anyone having a special celebration or a date night. Prices are reasonable. Filet and scallops were to die for. Scallops can be hard to get just right and these were perfect!!! I'm a food snob and I would have ordered a side of scallops as prepared with the "Surf and Turf", without hesitation. Fan-freakin-tabulous!
