Steak 'n Shake

What happened? Only order and pay on a kiosk. No salads. No option to eat healthy at all as in the past. Used to be great as both of us were happy with meal options. Burger was more bun than burger, so greasy. ALL dine in tables were dirty. Saw at least 4 families walk out. Not going back.

It's the first time I've been here in about 3 years. You walk in and order your food via kiosk. Then you get your cups from someone at the counter and fill your own drink. You then sit at a table and wait for someone to yell your name for your order and then grab it from the counter yourself. The whole experience is underwhelming and they don't even have chicken anymore. You'd be better off stopping by a regular fast food place.

I came here starving and craving one if their amazing garlic burgers. I went through the drive through and the lady kept repeating the wrong thing over and over back to me. I paid for my order at the window. I was polite and the lady at the window wasn't rude but very short and pulled me forward right away. The bigger girl who came out to give me my food was very short with me gave me a mean mug face then basically dropped my food in my hand. Then my bun wasn't toasted. The sandwich was cold. I paid for extra garlic butter and part of my sandwich was just covered in cold garlic butter. There was no effort in the other sandwich and no season on the meat. Then the fries were extremely salty and I personally love salt but couldn't do it. Let's say I don't think I will be going there anymore.

This place is really great! Very clean, nice, decent, and bright. The whole place is very welcoming, relaxing, and so interesting. They are well-maintained, organized, and the ambiance inside is really great. It was a pleasure for me to experience how great this place is. Their food here is incredibly delicious. Their menu is so big and they have so huge variety of food. You can really enjoy everything they have to offer you. All of their food is fresh, made to perfection, and very decent. The prices of those food is really fair and reasonable. You can really save a lot here while eating awesome and quality food. They are way better than other stores around the area. I would really love to go back here again and order more of their food. Really amazing spot! Thank you Steak n’ Shake! Your place is a gem! Keep it up! See you again! Well done!

Changing my old review. Prices have gone up while quality has gone down. I understand increased prices but I do not accept a worse quality food. I used to love steak n shake, one of my favorites but lately they have been downhill since they reopened inside. Paper straws is a terrible idea. Chicken strips are no longer any good and burgers tend to be burnt and without taste. Forgot my sauce burnt my burger and had to wait. I'll wait extra for fresh food but waiting while my food sucks is unpleasant. Will be avoiding this when back in town to visit
