The Rusted Spoon

I had a mixed experience. We called ahead and made a reservation, but we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Then we were seated in two separate tables (family split) or wait longer. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food, but the food was excellent. Finally, as we were leaving, we glanced unto the kitchen through an outside window and not a single one of the staff was wearing a mask! I'm not sure if we'll be back.

The best way to describe this place is that it's just plain 'ole HAPPY. Happy food, happy environment, happy people! My husband and I were in the area and decided to give it a try, and now we wish we lived closer to it! We were seated pretty quick, and loved how the place was decorated. The menu was pretty large with a handful of options, which was nice. Our food came out fast, hot and absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS. It's the kind of food that just makes you sigh once you're done- the 'I'm so full and so wonderfully satisfied' kind of sigh. We'll be back whenever we are in the area!

The food is usually great but today everything from the service to the food was incredibly below par. Between the wait to be seated ( mind you there were only two very small groups ahead of my wife and I) we have been waiting for over an hour and a half and we are just getting our food. We ordered our food and hour ago. It was just two simple sandwiches and 1 pancake. This has left an incredibly bad taste in our mouth for this place. We most likely will not be coming back and would recommend others to be cautious when coming. If you want to waste an entire afternoon waiting I would recommend coming here.

I don’t know what’s going on with this place. It used to be great! The first few times we came we loved it! Fast, yummy food, excellent and quick service. Well.... today we’ve been here for an hour and half and we still have no food. A huge table that walked in after us all got their food before my husband and I got ours. Our waitress came around everyone once I awhile. Oh, and they were out of au jus, fries, and rolls....?!?! We’re just bummed. This might keep us from coming back.

One of my favorite places to eat. They have a great menu, thier breakfast and lunch is very good, I would recommend their omelets and skillets for breakfast, and the french toast is amazing, for lunch the burgers are great as is the french dip. The staff are friendly and attentive, but not overly so. Nadia is great and has a great personality. If you find yourself up Perry way stop in and give The Rusted Spoon a try.
