Rizzi's

This is definitely some of the best Italian food in Peoria, but the food is not the reason I gave this place five stars. I came in 30 minutes before close after getting off work late and the bartender greeted me for food and drinks. The bartender made my dinner enjoyable and made me feel like I’ve been coming there regularly for years! From a fellow business owner, 10/10 service!

Rizzi's is a quaint place. Don't let it's location on the strip mall fool you. The restaurant is very small, but we got a seat right away. We weren't greeted. You walk in and seat yourself (as first-timers we weren't aware). The food was very good, but everything took a long time. Expect to spend over an hour here. The service wasn't exceptional, but it wasn't terrible. Other than that, the food was very good. Their house Italian salad dressing was fantastic. It was very flavorful and possibly the best I've had. The pasta and sauce was fresh and the chicken was crispy. If you have the time, it's worth a try.

Love! Best Italian in Peoria!! We have been a couple times and it delicious every time, staff is great, atmosphere is so nice and somewhat romantic. However the reason for my review is actually their catering pans. We had a large Christmas party in 2021 and we ordered two pasta pans one was manicotti and one was Alfredo. Our guests couldn’t get enough we went through the pans in 5 minutes!! Everyone has asked about the pasta even weeks after the party. The one and only draw back is the restaurant is pretty small. So it’s probably pretty difficult to get a table at meal time or with a large group if you don’t have a reservation. I think the restaurant being so small adds to the atmosphere and charm.

We tried the stuffed mushroom appetizer tonight, and it was the most unique and best tasting version over ever had. The sauasge and cheese combination was so good. For the entree, I have never had more tender chicken parmigiana. It was the texture of veal and absolutely delicious, not to mention it was two big breast pieces.

Drove a little over an hour to get there and it was my 1st time there yesterday. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with steak. It was amazing. The steak was so tender and the fettuccine portion was just right. It came with a salad and a basket of bread. If you are on the fence about going there, just do it.

We arrived about 15 minutes after opening. The food was good but the wait was unacceptable. It took nearly 1 1/2 hours for a table of 4 to get their food. Then my 12 year old son ordered a cheese pizza. The server brings out a large 14 pizza for him...a 12 year old. The server ould have told us there were no small pizzas. We most likely won't ever be back. It definitely wasn't worth the $100+ we spent!
