I’ve only been to MacAllister three or four times mostly because it’s kind of far from me. But where I live I’m pretty sure delis are banned. I cannot understand why There are no delis in the West Phoenix valley. I know I know everyone will tell you, Goodcents firehouse mr pickles (gross) Jersey Mike’s, blah blah blah... those are not delis. those are sub shops. for those that don’t know delis are like a mini market that have amazing sandwiches on any kind of bread you want. not just a hoagie roll. And many many meat options that are fresh sliced, from a deli case, and dozens of toppings to choose from.
Anyway, McAllister’s is the closest thing to a real deli that I have found in West Valley so far. That said of the other two or three options that are so-called delis McAllister‘s is the best for two reasons, one price and two variety. My sandwich soda and side cost $15. not bad. The so-called deli across the street would have cost me over 30. In fact the last time I was there it was 35 for a sandwich side and a drink but that’s another story.
This time around I got the beef and cheddar with horseradish sauce. Really good. I was not even hungry for that when I came in there, but I saw it on the menu and had to have it. I will say the cucumber salad was a little disappointing. they should just call that tomato salad. And their sweet tea was good as well. Service is really good and the place is clean. If it were closer to me I’d probably go there once a week at least. Frankly, it couldn’t be in a worse location. Nobody wants to be on that part of bell road.
I have been to McAlister’s before; but they have REALLY stepped up the quality of their food….. I liked it before; But whatever they are doing it has me coming back 1-2 times a week for their salads, sandwiches, and OH MY WORD, the BAKED POTATOS!!!! The iced tea is also always so good. I highly recommend McAlister’s. Way better than Panera
Kaitlyn was so happy to help us, she came over to make sure everything was good and refilled our drinks. We ordered an half Italian sandwich with a cup of Fire Roasted Veg soup, and a Black Angus Roast Beef Spud with a sweet tea. Oh my !! So good!! The sandwich had enough for a full sandwich and the spud was huge!! I started eating the spud before the picture (sorry)
Went for lunch, ordered the Jalapeno Turkey Crunch with potato salad side dish and enjoyed it; potato salad is yellow mustard flavor. Food was well cooked and presentation looked fresh and clean. Enjoyed this place and would visit again.
This is a wonderful business! Great food and service! We came in for a birthday and they gave us three large cookies. We ordered Colossal Carrot Cake, and they were out of it, so they gave us strawberry shortcake and two free pieces! HIGHY RECOMMEND!!!
The Southwest Chicken and Avocado salad was HUGE! It was enough to feed 2 people AND it was super tasty! The tomato bisque however, was more like spaghetti sauce with no meat. But the server brought a different soup to go and a to go box for the remaining salad, along with extra dressing. She was amazing. I'll definitely go back.
OMG!! Sepphora hooked me UP!! She’s very kind and respectful very knowledgeable and ordered the meal based on my special request. If you have never been to this deli I highly encourage you to try it out for yourself. I have great refreshments, outstanding food selections!
McAlister’s is a great place to eat. They serve primarily sandwiches, soup, and salads. You can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu, everything is delicious. They serve sweet tea, which is a rarity on the west coast.
Staff is friendly and the food is delivered quickly.
Food is always good. Service is excellent, I very seldom ever. Give a five-star review. We go to the one on Bell and 83rd avenue.
Very good food, wife usually gets the French dip, I usually get a New Yorker or the Reuben. The bread is always a great bite and the meat is always moist...... the service is Great and we like coming here!!!!!
