Golden Corral

We decided to try the Golden Corral and we will not be back. When we were waiting in the line it took so long. Someone had messed up a receipt and they only had one line open. Once they fixed that problem and opened the line they didn't give the peoples that had been waiting the longest to go threw. Once to the register everything was a mess. They asked what we wanted to drink then sat the drink in a big puddle on the counter of tea. The first thing is the tea dripping off the bottom of the cup to our clothes or shoes. Once played and inside I found the chicken was really good that was it. The fruit was bad and steak was chewy and we'll the only thing good was food that was baked or beans. Food was all over the bars and was not constantly cleaned. A lot of the bens of food were slipped threw not cleaned up. Quality was just poor. The dessert bar was horrible all the cakes were stale or not sweet. The ice cream machine was broken and they have ice cream that is hand dipped when I asked the lady to dip me some she rolled her eyes at me and when I asked what was the flavors I was mocked at for that with a sigh and a shoulder slump. I was like my gosh you hate serving people why are you here. I watched her in the back after that and she was slopping the food around. Not someone I want handling my food. The bathrooms were disgusting so nasty the walls even have a black mark to my thigh of dirt and grime and that's years of stuff on the walls to my thigh. I told my kids not to touch anything. We didn't eat half of what we tried. We will never ever go back. They are rude and not clean.

My rating is 5 stars because... I have visited several Golden Corrals all over the country. The Pelham, Al location is one of the best. The interior and exterior are quite outdated but the food is delicious. Pot Rost Pork with mashed potatoes is my favorite for lunch. Breakfest omelete which they make fresh right in front of you is even better than omelets from Ihop. They always have plenty food and they ran ouy they always refills. Price $9 per an adult is unbeatable.

The food was awesome. Our waitress, Cassie, was awesome as well. As soon as our drinks got down to less than half, she was there with another glass and she was so nice and loved to chit chat when she could. I never knew that they served ribs off the bar. (And they actually have Worcestershire sauce) The experience was awesome as usual. I'll be going back soon.

For the most part the dining area was clean however from where we were sitting we could see inside of the kitchen and that was a hot mess... Trash and things all over the floor... The desert bar was nasty with very few choices to choose from. Mrs Lottie was our waitress and she was amazing.... Very professional and interacted with us she kept our table clean from dirty plates and my cup was never empty.... The stars are for to Lottie!!!

The only thing that was good here was the servers, Tammy and Alexia. I was standing at the salad bar and the tomato cup was empty. She picked it up and tossed it in the floor behind her. Never seen any tomatoes. There was no fish, no Mac and cheese or none that was edible and I could go on and on about what was out. The only thing good was the ice cream and chicken. The lady at the grill never even acknowledged my thank you with a kind word or a look. Worst food and besides to two awesome servers, worst service. The health rating was 89. We should have left when we seen that. It should have been lower. For 33.00 and we drank water.... Very bad.

Great buffet. Food was fresh. Many options to choose from. Nice waitresses. Place was pretty clean. Only thing I was not impressed with was the attitude of the person grilling the steaks. He seemed bothered, ignored me some what and acted like he couldn't hear me or my kids when asking him for a piece of steak. Maybe he just couldn't hear too well. Who knows. Other than that we had a great time.
