Love everything here. Dumplings are not frozen and flash fried. Light, handmade wonton soup dumplings. Pick up only but owners are super friendly and kind. Real hidden gem and worth a visit.

Small, quiet restaurant with quality food. A secret garden in a small city.

Precious Garden....finally. Don't go for the decor....stay for the food. I have eaten 'in' and taken out over numerous occasions from this Peekskill Chinese Restaurant and have not once been disappointed. The kitchen is consistent. Most chinese food in this area is greasy, bland and disappointing. Not so for Precious Garden. I would recommend Wonton Soup as much for the light broth as for the homemade cloud-like wontons. The steamed Pork bun is as good as the many I have had in Chinatown and their eggrolls are huge, freshly wrapped and delivered with nary a trace of grease. For Entrees, I've enjoyed the first House Special Egg Foo Young that was feather-light and not soggy and leaden, as this dish can so often be. The accompanying sauce is not the gloppy brown gravy you've grown accustomed to, rather it is a light gingery-garlic based brown sauce that perfectly complements the omelet. I've also sampled The Shrimp in Chili Sauce and Pork and Black Bean Sauce combination as well as the orange beef special.. Scrumptious.... Service can be slow as the owner/server is alone, but well worth the wait! I look forward to eating my way through the entire menu.
