This place is a complete gem. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS. I had the soup and half sandwich combo with butternut squash soup and BLT. OMG to die for! My sister had the smoked salmon medallions again..to die for. Just when we thought we were too full..we just had to try the shortcake trio..mixed berries, strawberry and peach melba....and again I have to say...to die for. The staff is very welcoming and very attentive. And to top it off..the owner does all the cooking. This was well worth the 1 hour trip from the Bronx. Will be going again and again.

Lucky to have found such a gem. Sweetly decorated with tea pots, vintage & new, lovely table settings and of course tea. My friends & I had brunch here and throughly enjoyed the freshly made sandwiches on warm croissants served with a fabulous salad. We each had our owm pot of tea and ended the meal with a homemade, delicious dessert. Be sure to make a reservation as this Tea Room fills up quickly.

Beautiful little place. Nice atmosphere with decorations that are all tea related. They are known for fantastic scones. We asked for clotted cream that goes great with with scones. Tea selection is great. Thay had a Valentines day special tea "be mine" that was delicious. Spinash quiche was tasty and served with a salad. Servers were attentive and polite. We will definitely be back.

A hop over the pond. Ambiance abounds.Tea accessory collection worth of a museum. We had the window seats, so POSH. They were packed, reservations highly recommend. The food is amazing. Everything made from scratch with super fresh ingredients. A tea list to boggle the mind. Other natral organic beverages available as well. I will most certainly return. A great place to impress and not break the bank. $$

Simply put, Kathleen's Tea Room is our favorite lunch spot in Peekskill. It consistently delivers fantastic food with a touch of whimsy. That whimsy is evident from the first moment you approach the ivy adorned storefront on Main Street. When you walk through the door it's like you've stepped into an antique shop curated by Alice in Wonderland herself. Myriad tea kettles and other tchotchkes fill the room. Each table is topped with fresh flowers. Your eyes are drawn upwards to the late 19th century tin ceiling. If you're lucky enough to nab one of the elevated windows seats -- and you'll need to be lucky, reservations are highly recommended for this busy restaurant -- you'll really feel like you're dining in a storybook. Kathleen's is more than just atmosphere though. It just so happens to serve up some of the most delicious food in town.Ingredients are fresh, portions are generous, and each bite is filled with flavor. The menu consists largely of sandwiches, salads, soups, and quiche, along with some heartier entrees. Our go-to is one of the combos where you can get soup, salad (with killer caper berries) and either a half-sandwich or a quiche. To be honest, we wish their was a "super combo" where you didn't have to choose between the sandwich and the quiche because they're both so freaking good. For dessert, you just can't go wrong with Effie's Banana Pudding. And of course, there's the tea. We're not huge tea connoisseurs, but what we've had is great. They even offer a full afternoon tea, complete with a tower of mini-sandwiches, scones, and sweat treats along with pot of hot tea. We told you it was whimsical! Our only problem with Kathleen's? We wish it was open more! It's really a lunch place, closing at 5pm most days, and distressingly, closed on Sundays -- exactly when we'd be craving a Kathleen's brunch !On the flip side -- and we found out about this later than we would have wished -- they do offer delivery. So that's a nice way to add some class to your desk during the work week. Kathleen's is one of Peekskill's best, and definitely our number one spot in Peekskill for lunch with a heaping side of whimsy.

Fantastic tea room. Extensive loose tea options, wonderful menu, food is delicious. Friendly staff. Seating is tight, but worth it. Great place to have some delicious tea, catch up with a friend and eat some really tasty food.

Really charming and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It's not cheap, but it's a nice treat. They serve proper high tea style treats, sandwiches, soups, salads, and have such a wonderful selection of teas to choose from.

Lunch was delicious, the server was attentive and helped me select ba tea, because, hello I drink coffee. I highly recommend cinnamon with orange absolutely delicious!! Lunch consisted of their green salad, with a choice if six toppings, very hard to choose and I only got three and grilled chicken, the grilled chicken was the BEST grilled chicken I've ever had! I was fortunate enough to have Kathleen stop by the table and ask how everything was, I shared my love of her chicken. And asked HOW? It was amazing, tender, not dry and full of flavor. She is one of the nicest people I've met. I will definitely return and maybe try something different, but this salad is my favorite. Definitely worth the ride into town, even if you're 40 minutes away as I am.

Never had a meal here that wasn't excellent. I've had their butternut squash soup, mac n cheese, quiche, salmon rounds, BLT, roasted veggies, apple pie, ...it's always consistently delicious with attention to detail and high quality. The scones are a transcendent experience. You definitely get your money's worth.

I picked up some food for from here for the first time ever today. I got a chicken caesar salad and my coworker got the Mediterranean platter. We both loved our salads. I especially liked that the dressing was put on the side for mine. The staff was super nice when I went to pick it up. The placed looked absolutely adorable. I would definitely order from here again and I definitely want to eat there sometime.
